Ibiza solo advice?

Hey guys,

Have gotten to the rotten stage of about 6 months since i was last in Ibiza and I'm missing it heaps.

Now i need some advice , not sure if anyone can help but you never know. Well coming from Australia it's a massive effort to get onto the island so rounding up troops to come is difficult. Seems like every mate doesn't have the money or the leverage with work to go and my missus has other things going on.

I'm thinking about going solo !! Now i am worried that i am going to get over there and feel like a bit of a loner and not enjoy myself as much. Would anyone advise on doing the solo thing or is Ibiza a place which you need a crew?

Theres shed loads of threads about travelling solo. Ibiza is one of the best places to be solo if you wana meet people and this forum is a great place to start , Ive met a few people off here and its always worked out really well. The annoying thing I think is that accomodation works out cheaper if theres 2+ sharing

Yeh know a few faces off here and a mate will be on the island but he is a lunatic lol so wouldn't be that bad :p.

I should use the search function hey !!!

You don't need to take a crew, daveaus.. just take means of being in communication (pref internet+mobile) when you're there to arrange meets etc. It's always nice to have a companion or two, tho' .. shares the load of being responsible for everything, aside from anything else. I probably go solo about 60% of my trips - can go exploring much easier sometimes when you're on your own without having to round a group of people up and accommodate all their needs, wants, preferences and 'issues' !

Outside of late July and August you can get affordable single rooms pretty easily especially around San Antoni, which if you have transport is no real problem and there are plenty of buses to fall back on to get home if you're twatted anyway.

Big regret was having a **** phone last year totally hammered me. Had a nice $400 bill when i got home :p though so prob good i couldn't use it much.

Im thinking bout going in September again. I go out for the music really so it shouldn't be that hard to get into it and make some new buddies.

I have gone solo twice in September 2009 & 2011.

It is so easy to meet people. 2009 I went to Tropi in San An and met a random group of guys and girls in there and we shared the same music interests, ended up spending most of my time with them for the rest of the holiday.

2011 i met up with a few people off here and had a great time with them. There are so many nice people on this forum and they are all going at a variety of times so there will always be a few on the island.

I'd definitely say go it alone.

I went solo in July 2011 and openings last year.

Lazy reply but I agree went last year 2011 alone and that lasted until I got on the plane, I went out and every night I met a group or person during the night, I was on my own one night from going to Pacha, however that was my fault cause the group I met at Bora Bora went to DC10. I had a good night in Ushuaia with them & after went back to hotel for a kip and then Pacha, that was only single night... I had:D

Take Care

PS: I am doing it all again this year for 15 nights dates below solo for about 10 day/Nights so far can't wait.8)

You def don't NEED a crew dude!
If you're really jones'in for Ibiza then just go!
The easiest thing on Ibiza is meeting ppl :)
