Ibiza Rocks - Tuesdays in Bar M
The bookings are going very well this year for Ibiza Rocks and now more than half of the acts are fully confirmed for the season. Whilst it will still be a few weeks before we announce our line-ups we can now say (more or less 100%) that we will be running a live Ibiza Rocks event in Bar M every Tuesday from 19th June till 11th September. We will also be doing events on some other nights of the week but we have decided to make sure that we are live every Tuesday so everyone has something to plan around. Many of these events will be filmed as part of our "Ibiza Rocks"Channel 4 TV series. Most of the bands that are headlining this summer are really looking forward to playing such an intimate gig on the beach in front of a few hundred people as they rarely get to do that.
Get ready for an amazing summer of live music in Ibiza...

The Holloways will be supported by up and coming Londoners Vinny Vinny, appearing as part of project FREEDM where new and unsigned bands get the chance to show us what they can do wit hthe Ibiza Rocks stage.

As ever the show is followed by an exclusive party at Pacha, this time starring Junior Sanchez alongside Australia's Bang Gang DJs.

This will be an amazing event so make sure you get the combination ticket that gives you access to both the show and the afterparty.

Ibiza Begins...

The Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson opening party was one of the biggest events we've seen - The View were on fire (as sung by a fired up crowd!) and The Rumble Strips were pretty damn magnificent too. Tunes of the night? 'Wasted Little DJs' and a sing along 'Face For The Radio' from The View, 'Motorcycle' from The Rumble Strips and Simian Mobile Disco 'It's The Beat' tearing up the dancefloor (more on them later...).

Next up is The Holloways on June 26,
click here to get your tickets and we'll see you there. They'll be joined by Vinny Vinny (presented by FREEDM) plus a huge DJ line up of Bang Gang DJs (The biggest DJ team in Australia making their Ibiza debut!), Junior Sanchez and ace residents Gash DJs.

In the meantime the new acts continue to roll up and it gives us great, huge pleasure to announce that Dirty Pretty Things will playing Ibiza Rocks on Tuesday, August 21. Still one of the most sought-after bands on the live circuit, Carl Barat's outfit went down a storm last year and surely there's no man daft enough to bet against them pulling it off again?

We've also got the aforementioned Simian Mobile Disco live tearing it up with Zane Lowe, Does It Offend You Yeah? and Gash DJs. In a bit of a deviation from the usual schedule this show will go down on a Monday - July 2 to be precise - but the Pacha aftershow will still be taking place on the Tuesday (July 3) and combined tickets will still be available to get you into the Monday gig and the Tuesday party.

Both the Simian and Dirty Pretty Things shows are on sale now so

On the support front, project FREEDM is bringing us Pull Tiger Tail to back-up Kasabian on July 17, and The More Assured will be supporting The Fratellis on September 3 and 4.

Don't forget to keep checking out
www.ibizarocks.com for all the latest line-up news and to make sure you get first dibs on the latest tickets. Plus we'll soon have some very special backstage footage for you so stay tuned.

Oh, and check out
NME.com now to view their own special Ibiza Rocks microsite that will have interviews each Friday with all the bands playing. Plus Xfm have just announced an Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson Live Hour every Sunday from 7 - 8pm throughout the summer!

See You On The Island.

From Ibiza Rocks myspace bulletin

Due to circumstances beyond our control, July 2's Simian Mobile Disco show will not be going ahead.

Full refunds are available for those who have already purchased tickets. Apologies to everyone who was looking forward to this as much as us, here's a message from the guys

"We were really looking forward to playing Ibiza Rocks this Monday night. Circumstances conspired against us however as we found out yesterday that it wasn't going to be possible to get half of our live kit (including our lights) on to the island in time for the show. We'll reschedule the live gig for another time and hopefully you can catch us Dj'ing at Manumission throughout the summer. Apologies again. See you soon."
Simian Mobile Disco.

Instead, in true Balearic party spirit, on July 3 at Bar M we'll be throwing the doors of Ibiza Rocks open to all-comers for our first ever free party. Does It Offend You Yeah? and Gash DJs will be providing turntable skills plus live acts plus The Hungover Stuntmen live.

The usual Tuesday night after-party will still be going ahead - last week was well and truly rocked by Junior Sanchez so don't miss out.

Ibiza Rocks Pacha is already gaining a cult following on the Island. It looks like this one is gonna run and run... Stand by for Does It Offend You Yeah? and Gash DJs to keep things rockin' in the Global Room this this Tuesday July 3rd 2AM - 6AM.

Finally, the hot news, just in, is that Brighton's hip-hop funkateers The Go! Team will be bringing their rocka-non-stop live show to Ibiza to play with CSS on Tuesday July 10.

That's right: CSS and The Go! Team, together on the same bill!

Now pick your jaw up off the floor and get yourself a ticket before it's too late. click here to order...

Latest News from the White Island
Check out the gallery at ibizarocks.com right now to see highlights of the season so far in glorious, fullscreen technicolour including shows by CSS, The Holloways and more.

If you like what you see you should really consider getting on a plane 'cos we've got plenty more where that came from.

Next Monday and Tuesday - July 16 & 17 - see Kasabian - fresh from a quite literally earth shaking performance at Live Earth - headlining Bar M. Pre-sale tickets sold out in about a nanosecond but a limited number are still available from Bar M itself. The island is buzzing about the next few days!

Support on the Tuesday comes from Pull Tiger Tail - presented by FREEDM - and manning the decks will be Dim Mak Records head honcho Steve Aoki from LA - Steve will also be working the turntables at the Pacha Global Room afterparty alongside our ace residents Gash DJs.

To answer a question a lot of you have been asking - The Global Room is located on the ground floor of Pacha. It's the intimate room on the right hand side straight after you come through the main entrance.

Next Wednesday - July 18 - LCD Soundsystem will be returning to the White Island to deliver the Ibiza Rocks crowd into the stratosphere, 5 years after they first played Manumission's back room.

'Sound Of Silver' is a hands-down album of the year contender and definitely an Ibiza Rocks office fave. It's a pleasure to have James and co back.

Keep checking ibizarocks.com for tickets, photos, news and more mini-movies in the blog....

See you on the island.

The Latest From The White Island
It's been an amazing week here on the white island; a brace of shows from the titanic Kasabian (ably supported by Pull Tiger Tail on the Tuesday) and a fantastic showing from party pioneers LCD Soundsystem all ensured that the Ibiza Rocks gigs have been shining brighter than the Balearic sun.

And that's without even mentioning the Global Rooms aftershow party - special recognition must go to LA's Steve Aoki - we never thought we'd see crowd surfing in Pacha!

The beats go on next week with the current Queen of street level hip-hop Kelis joining us on Monday - expect an electrifying performance jam-packed with with sass, soul and gold-plated grills.

Tuesday sees current man of the moment, Mark Ronson, teaming up with Mercury Music Prize nominees and indie dancefloor pioneers New Young Pony Club for an unmissable evening this Tuesday.

Shows this special do not happen every day so make sure you're a part of it.For Tuesday's afterparty, we also welcome Cassette Jam DJs to the Global Room. Cassette Jam's groundbreaking Electro eclecticism has already destroyed dancefloors worldwide and their appearance will undoubtedly be one of the seminal highlights of the 2007 summer season. Need we say more?

Tickets for the gigs and aftershow are still available so get yours now.

August 14th sees the release of Ibiza Rocks 2007, a double CD compilation featuring the very best of this year's line-up and the finest dancefloor indie. We've collected a bumper load of tracks from acts that have played, bands we love, bands we think will be huge and, of course, loads of unstoppable hits from the likes of Fratellis, The Enemy, The Holloways, Soulwax, Bloc Party, Maximo Park, Pigeon Detectives and more...

This is as close as you can get to the White Island without actually being there!

For the second CD, our ace resident Gash DJs have distilled the Ibiza Rocks sound that you all know and love, run it through a disco blender and created the definitive Ibiza Rocks DJ session. Standby for tracks from the likes of Mark Ronson, Simian Mobile Disco, Sunshine Underground and New Young Pony Club, all jostling for position with soon-to-be essential new summer anthems from Justice and Digitalism.

Click here to pre-order right now.
