Ibiza reality tv show ?

Hello

Fellow ibiza fans :)

As youll already have realised by the threads title i am merely at this time looking for peoples opinions on the proposed ibiza reality show similar to previous tv installments like towie , geordie shore etc etc , this will only go ahead if support is given mind , criticism is welcome but please keep it clean ehhhh .

Opinions plz ?
 
I cant think of anything worse tbh. The sort of people who "star" in or watch that sort of crap should be removed from the gene pool.
 
Anything even resembling the absolute tripe shown on Channel 4 or MTV that is currently even further watering down the general intelligence levels of an already strugglin society should just outright be barred.

Wouldn't mind seeing one resembling the old Ibiza series on Living etc... Show some of the characters on the island, actually show promoters trying to negotiate deals, set up dates at one of the big clubs, follow the resident DJ's rather than the annoying PR's they always find.
 
Sinbad,tell us more. The programs you mention have all been about people from certain regions,would this be about locals/residents or summer workers/holiday makers or a mix of both?
Most importantly, would it be scripted?
Your question can't be answered properly without knowing at least some of your agenda!
 
Hopefully it wont be like that Magaluf programme on at the moment, its clearly scripted, its just like TOWIE but in the sun, awful. Ibiza Uncovered was good years ago, would be good to do something similar to see how the island has changed since the mid 90's
 
Something like the original Ibiza Uncovered would be good (probably) unless it decided to focus mainly on the darker side of things (we know they exist, but they don't exactly make the place look good on the tv when they're shoved in your face!)... maybe something about the people who live here all year round, rather than just the summer workers who blow in for the season then leave and go back to the UK (or wherever!)?
There have been shows about holiday resorts (Kavos, Magaluf, Benidorm etc) which make the places look like hell on earth, drunken, drugged idiots staggering about, fighting, bleeding all over the place... when that's only one tiny area of any holiday resort.... Ibiza is a beautiful place and deserves better than the reputation it so easily gains... 8)
 
I'd like to see a programme following the volunteers who follow the wild cats around attempting to neuter them!
 
There was a series on ITV recently about Corfu. First time in ages a documentry about a holiday resort/island showed a bit of everything instead of a few over the top club promoters and a rep who is only interested in getting their leg over.

A series involving local hotel owners, local restaurant owners, local farmers and produce makers (Can Caus) - spend some time with the hippy bongo players at Benirras. Go into the history of the salt-pans Dalt Vila.

Some of us don't go to Ibiza - and don't really want it to be portrayed as a 7 day week piss-up in the West End (well maybe one night every other year)
 
I always enjoyed Passport to the Sun hosted by Nadia Sawalha which, on occasion, had real stories of life on Ibiza (the program mainly focused on Majorca). Not sure if a program centering on so called "celebs" would be particularly entertaining for a large section of society - to be frank most people are sick to death of it.
 
I once took chicken pox to Corfu out of their chicken pox season, freaked them right out! Didn't do me any good either.
 
I didnt think Ibiza uncovered was as bad as some people make out. Ok there was a lot of west end madness, but there was good coverage of other things too.
 
Personally could not think of anything worse than yet more of that sort of TOWIE ****e being spewed out...

I would love to see a Documentry focusing on the other resorts Ibiza has to offer, Portinatx, Play D'en Bossa, Es Canar etc....

But the whole towie route isnt something I, Or many others would watch.

Its a no from me.
 
Well Don the show is just in its development stage just now the surveys going on will help towards any final decisions made just so you know :)

Theres a few routes we can go down with it some have been mentioned on this thread alone after reading the comments myself on spotlight i think you guys would rather watch something along the lines of a six part reality doc series , featuring maybe 6 different people in 6 different walks of life on the island of ibiza . We could also promote the white isle further by filming in 6 different towns lets say for example but lets not forget this is moving away from your typical reality tv show .

If a reality show was to go forward then to answer your question absolutely not we would seek to find only the very best contestants who we will know through interviewing will be entertaining to the viewers .
