What are the prices like at some of the normal bars???

for:

Pint of Lager
cocktails
Smirnoff Ice/Alchopop
Spirits
?????????????????????????????

pink panther

dont know about other places but in the pink panther..it is 2.50 euros pint of spanish lager...pint of cocktail is 5 euros or 4 euros in happy hour...alcho pops are imported so a bit dearer 4 euros..and a smirnoff vodka and mixer is 4.5 euros equivalent to about a double in uk...think prices are similar in other pubs...obviously clubs are dearer...

Hello,

recently i stayed @ Cala Nova & for some of the time i visited the neighbouring resort of Es-Cana, there the drink price's varied with one english bar (Apachi) offering spanish lager all day @ 1,50 euro a pint. During there happy hour it was 3 euro's for 2 pint's :?, other drink's varied from 2 euro's - 4 euro's. Another bar that was very, very cheap was a small very friendly spanish bar called bar 3 esquinas (open til 4am everyday) where there's no happy hour owing to the fact that the price for spirit's & cocktail's were ridiculously cheap, 1,50 - 2,50 euro's whilst a pint of lager was 2 euro's.

As for drink price's eleswhere on the island, i found both Ibiza town ( near the port & dalt vila ) & San Antoni bar's too be rather on the expensive side, but not as bad as other european resort's or cities that i've visited.

so you paid 3 euros for two pints.....its the same as 1.50 you say...thats not happy....afford happy hours most are cons.to get you in..yoy really have to work out what a normal pint is .in the 1st place

€2.5 for a pint of San Mig - cheaper than UK pubs but not as cheap as drinking clubs

That's my point, though i avoided the place during their evening happy hour period because of what they were charging for there happy hour's , it's true, the daytime offer of 1,50 euro per pint made one very thirst'y :D . It's also true that most of the happy hrs are con's so as too get the tourist's in their bar's, hence why i tended to hit the non touristic spanish bar (just up the road) during the evening period. Great atsmosphere, live (free) local music on occasion's & a good time had by all, young & old aswell as the few older tourist's that knew such a bar still exsist'ed:D .

Maybe Tony from Bristol know's of this bar as it's just a few mtr's up from from Freddy & Julies????

I was at pag pago bar in playa d'en bossa and the promoter was saying it was buy one get one free, in actual fact we got but one get two free. so 3 pints of fosters for 3.50 euros can't be bad8)

PDB happy hour

The best happy hour bar in PDB is the Joy Bar.
8.40 Euros will get you 4 large vodka and oranges...and we are probably talking trebles here.
Worst value was Marinas for us with no happy hour and two vodka and oranges costing 11 euros....and not as much vodka content as Joy bar.

cheapest bar by far with no happy hour is uno;s in pdbossa, you buy what you need .drink what you want.take home what is left,,nice and cheap, nothing fancy about this bar,,but it gets packed all night, even the toffs from my hotel go there.for cheap drinks,

It's like any where busy lively places (clubs,West end) seem to be more exspensive. Round the Bay. Pink Panther(hi Sue),Donigans Etc.. seem to be normal prices good value for the entertainment they provide. and then smaller local bars are cheap. It depends what your looking for. If your following club 18-30 round your gonna pay through the nose. I say have a few drinks else where before you go to the club. Just like at home.
