 I returned from Ibiza 2 days ago  ....amazing holiday! and now my friends would like to go to Malta, weird! i've never been there!!! has any of you been to malta b4? What do i expect to find there? cos i dunno why but got a feelin' that is the typical place for drunk teenagers! :x what do you think?
8) thanx 8)

malta = farmers ... but it has a wonderfull nature but nightlife isn't that good (but very friendly peeps an dspeak all fluently english)

I went to malta for my very first holiday (just wiv friends) when I was 16 Because it was the cheapest holiday abroad we could find!

But while I was there Lisa Lashes and Boy George did an open air rave (if you can call it that?!) Was ok but nothing special didnt really seem to have the same vibe. But it is what you make of it!

P.S

Hellloooo Im a Newbie! :D

i have been to Malta many yrs ago with my folks, they loved it i hated it. Thought it was like a building site. not much to do unless you are into churches and culture.

my advice to you is go back to ibiza!!!!!!!!!

8) thank you everybody!!!! I've been told that St Julians in Malta is like ibiza! but after reading your messages i started chaning my mind!!!

There are plenty of places "like" Ibiza, but there is only one Ibiza

Malta is nice for a chilled out family vibe.

The nightlife is pants.

St Julians is NOTHING LIKE Ibiza :?: :?:

I'm half Maltese....been to both...a few times each and there is no comparison....Malta is good if you want extreme heat and a very relaxed environment....the good thing is that in August you don't find the druken kids that you see in masses in June......and Ibiza, of course, is unlike anything else...your call really...if you just got back from IBZ and don't have the funds than Malta works for being economical.......... ;)

I think we aren't too objective with the answers, but heck what did u expect when asking such question in an Ibiza fans forum? ;)

maltese raves

I have never been, and i suspect most peeps hear are talking about holiday experiences some years back in Malta. I wd love to take a look sometime. There a gorgeous old town, is a big open air rave scene there, with some very big numbers attending, and not heaveily promoted or too commercial. I might drop a friend of mine (Ruff Guide Malta author) a line and ask him to comment.

Lo siento, no soy español :p

¿Qué significa joerse?

*Seriously though, I've not been to Malta, but the only person I know said it was a bit sleepy. :)

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

please please please say that you were joking when you compared Malta to Ibiza !!

I have been to Malta twice this month for my work and went out every night......very young crowd in Paceville (nr St Georges Bay/ St Julians). St Julians is full of restaurants and not much else. There is nothing worthy of a mention regarding Malta night-life, although if you mix with the locals you will at least get to hear good music even if the clubs are prety ordinary. They have a club called...wait for it....."Gods kitchen".........Comparing this Gods to the other Gods is like comparing Ibiza with.....errr Malta.

never been, don't plan too. can't b objective i suppose but i would still say to hell with malta come to ibiza! no offense to malta or anythin. :)

Honestly I think malta is an amazing island, full of history and much more. My opinion is that ibiza is basically the headquarter of the typical boor tourist on holiday,in few words the "upper class" of the world... i had very good moments on the island for sure, but nothing that you couldn't find somewhere else(more easily) No way..... Byeeeee

p.s. obvious i'm not maltese

ahh... "upper class" is very ironic... ;) (i was probably one of them!)
