Having been to both, I'd say there really is no comparison. Cyprus is a lovely place and I really like it, I'll be going back but with my kids. If you're after a party, there is nowhere on earth like Ibiza.
One overgrown fishing village taken over by a cluster of (by all accounts - i have neveer been) varying quality of clubs frequented by Burberry wearing chavs and wannabe gansta's (ya get me) from the UK, being harrassed by the local constabulary and stabbing each other over who's trainers are the whitest
OR
A beautiful island populated by an accepting and laid back group of locals and visitors that has some of the best clubs in the world scattered around the countryside, a huge vairiety of world class restaurants and one of the most interesting bar life in the northern hemisphere.
Ibiza's nightlife is head and shoulders above anywhere I can think of, though there are other nice places worth visiting, but I love the parties too much
To be quite honest i cant understand this gangster thing. When i was in napa a few years ago it was full of English people and to be quite honest they where really freindly.
Im happy that Ibiza is much better so im pretty sure that its going to be the holiday of my life.
i went to ayia napa two years ago and i have to say the beaches were lovely esp nissi beach beautiful place. and i am not a chav or ned or burberry cap wearing whatever. it gets bad press just like ibiza does.
went to ayia napa in 2000 and have to say that even though i had a good hliday, club wise its nothing special theres one decent club that held a cream night every thursday, the rest of the clubs are really small and overcrowded and ayia napa stinks, nissi beach is littered with rubbish too.
i heard this year that there is more house and trance in napa than r and b and garage
