Hey guys and dolls

My friend and I will be in Ibiza Sept 3-12, celebrating her 30th. We're both first timers to the island (my first time to Europe as an "adult") and would love some tips for navigating the club scene, recommendations for good eats, drinks, dancing, sightseeing opportunities, and making new friends! The best way to learn the ropes is through the veterans! (You can only get so much from reading articles.)

We're staying in the south end of PDB. We have some general ideas of what we want to do but any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. :D

Hi,

Few of us out there similar time (1st week sept). We're staying in San an though.

Good group on fb "ibiza get together 2015" which is useful for meeting people when out there (IM etc)

Cheers

Congrats on your first trip to Europe and Ibiza! My first trip to Europe began with Ibiza as well 6 years ago! :)

The biggest tips/recommendations I can give you are as follows:
  • Enjoy the beach
  • Go to Dalt Vila at night -- I highly recommend getting a nice dinner here one evening -- it's AMAZING. I recommend La Oliva.
  • Wear earplugs at the clubs -- I lost my hearing for about a day and a half after Cream's Opening Party in 2009
  • Take a day trip to Formentera..you can make it a really cheap trip if you ride the Ulises Cat or the Aqua Bus Ferry, and the beaches are out of this world!
  • Check out Es Vedra by boat (Ulises Cat, which picks up from PDB and Figueretas)
  • Watch the sunset on the Sunset Strip in San Antonio. It's a must-do for every first timer!
  • Drink more of your alcohol at your hotel/villa as opposed to at the clubs -- the clubs charge about 10 euros just for a beer!

Fantastic! Thanks for the tips. You rock!! Formentera is a must do on the list but I will definitely add the others.

Cheers

You're welcome! I loved Formentera so much last time I'm actually staying a few nights there as well after Ibiza :)

Hi keys,

i m mauro, and i m from Italy, i ll be also over in Ibiza this summer in some of your dates.
My friend and i will be over since 8 years now, and if you need some tips and advice feel free to contact me...
i m also staying in same area, just a little in more central position near Sankeys...

there are a lot of nice restaurants nearby your hotel, and especially a wonderful Sushi Into Ushuaia..

Afternoon is a must to go to Bora Bora open party.. entrance is free and is just a few minutes from your loaction.
Just pay attention going on the beach, to try to not bring with ya too much money, cameras, phones, or better if you do that, don t lose the focus on them.. in the beach there are loads of people looking for that..
drinks are quite expensive into clubs, but there are some nice markets wether you can buy cheap alcool & drinks and you can mix them up as you prefere...

if you need more info just send a message...

P.s let see each othere there ...

have a great day...

always loving Ibizaaaaaaaa

There are a lot of things to do in Ibz but A few things not to miss when in Ibiza & renting a car is hardy recommanded(if not get in touch with any spotlight that may have a car as Taxis is a rip off & i can't imagine myself in Ibz with no cars as Bus in ibiza is a joke as it brings you to just a few places ,just the main places such as Ibz town to San an (Ibz town to PDB) other wise , have to grab a cab )

Sunset @ Kumharrras(san antonio) (+ one in Cafe del Mar, around 9.30 pm go to mambo cafe to attend to the free pre party with a famous dj)
an afternoon at Sa trinxa or jockey club(With dj Pippi i wont miss i guess he is there on sat but he do not publish it on his Fb page) 10mn by car from pdb.
A sunday sunset at cala Benirras(+35mn by car from PDB) then after 10.00pm(u can eat at restaurante 2000 in cala Benirras for a paella, elements restaurant the famous beach bar do not make paella) u can go to Blue Marlin(free entrance, chic beautiful people) to enjoy Sunday at Blue Marlin until 3.00am...U can also enjoy Blue marlin(cala Jondal) the afternoon the terrace/dancefllor shut at 11.30 pm then they move into the entrance room...but its nice to experience BMI from 5.00pm to 10.00pm
Experience ocean beach Ibiza daytime pool party(10 to 15€) in San an too (Wednesday u got Ibiza senstations with a famous dj from BCN Luis Del Villar other day u got House Dj Tom Crane & the lovely laura the uk player sax on sat sunday i think...)
Experience one day time party at Destino with a party with big name(as the other day it's free but more a chill out place for people living there)
Experience the hippy market at punta arabi &/or las dalias

a walk in ibiza town/the harbor the night b4 clubbin...Have drinks but never pay the offer as its a scam eg 14€ 2 bad cocktails & 1 free shot.(not really cocktails in this case better order beer or soda they cant fool u :D) ..u have bars at the beginning of the harbor(zoo bar & so on) & bars(chupito bar) after carrer vicente soler with sofas:the cocktails are better in the 2 nd area(bars with sofa)...this is the 2 main area of bars even there are bars all around....

In playa den bossa there are lot of beach bars, Bora bora is the most popular, should have a visit(if i have to pick one day at Bora bora i will pick I do Ibiza party to support some ibz local scene on wednesday)...u got jets beside..got my "friend" Jey Indahouse on the decks..Nassau far away by 10mn is a must seen....u got rumours at beach house on sunday from 5.00pm ...i used to go to the beach bars in PDB upon the party & the djs i follow,it could be Jets/Bora bora, Lips , Sands,Beachhouse,No name, Santos(at the beginnin of PDB in front of FMIF shop)...

For the beaches or restaurants a lot have been said but u cant beat this page https://www.facebook.com/Ibiza5sentidos?fref=nf even i dont agree sometimes with what 's written (they wrote that la cava a famous tapas bar at dalt villa was good, i found it not & pricey)
Es Vedra at cala hort is a not miss beach, cala conte too for the most popular...dont miss a drink in the afternoon at amante beach club (little north of ibz 25 mn by car from ibz town)...

For the party i dont have any advice as i dont know what kind of music you are keen on.....but if u want to visit each big club the famous parties are
Space , elrow on sat or Vagabundos on sunday
Pacha No comment all parties attract a lot of people:D
Ushuaia No comment all parties attract a lot of people , Ants is the only one not commercial EDM :p
Amnesia Hyte or Music on
Dc10 circoloco on sunday afternoon from 5.00pm
Zoo project on sat afternoon

As a old School House addict, the only big party im in is Glitterbox at Space on friday then

ps: when goin to see the sunset at cafe del mar, a walk in the "West end" is a laugh too  & if need some tips or some piece of info , Give a shout through FB on as im more on FB than spotlight (im on FB ,especially to follow hundred ibz locals(having many Ibz Djs ,promote reprentative people & hippy drummers in my contacts helps to be aware to nearly all events in ibiza & to discover new places (the grass green but even the famous legend ibz dj  eg from Blue Marlin,Pacha,Space,Privilege,Ushuaia,Lio,Dc10, Destino,Sankeys,Bora Bora,Zoo,KM5,Veto,Underground,Ocean beach,Cafe del mar,el hotel pacha, ocean drive,Dunes,Nine,Amante,Golden Buddah,...nearly all places in Ibz) to gather valuable info for my next Ibz trip)
