We landed at 2am, our second time in Ibiza and headed straight out for drinks in Ibiza Town where we were staying. We ended up getting free tickets to Renaissance @ Pacha (and no queueing!) and got some other stuff free. Had a wicked night,the crowd were really up for it and most people were really nice. I would'nt have chosen to go there but was very plesantly surprised!
We headed out to PDB to Bora Bora, which im sad to say was very subdued, the music was crap (there was no DJ to be seen) and was really quiet! The biggest surprise clubbing wise for me was Gorgeous @ Space. Again we got cheap tickets and thought why not?!
The music was superb, spot on for my liking and I danced my pants off all night! I would highly recommend people check it out, but get there late!
On monday we headed to DC10, which i was really looking forward to as i had never been. I must say the music was ace but it was a bit too posey for my liking and absolutely boiling! Like too hot to dance for more then 10 minutes without feeling like you were gonna pass out or need a drip inserted into you to keep hydrated!! It probably didnt help that when we got there a really old scuzzy guy with no teeth fell out the door just as we were going in! We saw this same guy many times throughout the hol and he was highly entertaining! (anyone else see him? Old spanish guy, no teeth!)
Again we were really lucky and got given 4 free tickets to Subliminal @ Pacha (by the same person, bless her!) and missed the queues again thank god! I had forgotten how busy it got last year and was a bit gutted because it just got too busy and you could'nt really dance properly. I used to love old Eric but i must say i think he's gone off the boil these days. Was glad we didn't pay the ridiculous price to get in! When we left @ around 4am they were still flooding in! Maybe im just getting old?!
We had a few chilled days, hired a car and toured the island. I loved the place before but this time around i totally fell in love with Ibiza, it's soooo beautiful! We went to several beaches, Salinas, Bennirias, Cala conta (amazing to watch the sunset!), Cala Xucla (Where i had quite possibly one of the funniest/scariest massages of my life! The guys cock kept rubbing up against my hands! No wonder it only cost 20 euros!)
We cranked it up again on friday night. We headed over to Cafe Mambo, which we really enjoyed last year but the music was again really quiet (you could hardly hear it!) and half the beach is gone so no one was dancing which was a real shame, apparently the local residents have moaned about the noise! Dont bloody move there then i say! Then we headed over to Bora Bora which was rocking. Had a good old dance there then headed to Space for Azuli. Had a great night but headed back at a sensible-ish time so we would be nice and refreshed for sat night back at Gorgeous, which again rocked!
Unfortunately we didnt make We Love this year (bring on 2008!)
We got more free tickets for Defected @ Pacha (the luck was with us on this hol!) But sacked it off for Carl Cox (thank god we did!) Had a wicked night, danced loads and chilled out on the sunset terrace. Missed Tim Delux which i was gutted about as i saw him at the End a few years back and it was one of my top nights ever, go see him if you get the chance!
On our last day we went back to Bora Bora and it rocked, the music was cranked up again and there was a DJ again behind the decks, just a shame we were going home!
We were so lucky with all the freebies we got, we worked out that we got over 500 euros worth of tickets and other stuff! I still managed to run out of money in the first week and had to bash the plastic, which i also maxed out!
To top off an amazing holiday i had a tatoo done in Tahiti Tattoos in ibiza town. It took 4 hours and bloody KILLED but was well worth it! When im old and wrinkly i can look at it and remember all the special fun times had on the white isle!
