the show will be divided in two parts: first one with javier vargas' songs and second one, accompanied by devon allman, with songs like "statesboro blues" and "one way out" by the allman brothers, "layla" by derek and the dominoes (which featured, apart from mr slow hand, devon's uncle duane allman) and a long list of blues classics..... it's gonna be immense ! !

btw, a lot of people from mainland spain coming to the island for this one.....

hearing "thank you (falettinme be mice elf agin)" by sly & the family stone was another of the many highlights during their 3 hours concert..... we can be very proud to have a festival like this in ibiza ! !
 
the scandinavian carl winters trio and the spanish quartetto minimo are the first two confirmations for this years' edition, which will take place again the last week of august :!:
 
El festival de Jazz de Ibiza de 2011 tendrá lugar entre el 23 y el 27 de agosto. El plato fuerte del mismo será el David Murray Cuban Ensemble. Murray es un californiano que vive en Sines, Portugal, y que después de hacer free-jazz durante muchos años se inventó el World Saxophone Quartet con el que sigue en la actualidad. Pero lo mas reciente suyo es un trabajo basado en el repertorio en español de Nat King Cole. Con él visitará Ibiza.
