ibiza in march

March

Easter fell in March last year and we had two fab hot weeks, its not guarenteed but its a lovely time of the year to visit. We had New Year in Ibiza for the first time this year and was delighted to be sunbathing in Temps around 24 Degrees while reading the newspaper headlines about UK big Freeze! Go for it.

if you want to see ibiza without tourists then march is a good time to visit. the weather's warming up during the day, though cool enough at night to snuggle round a log fire in a country bar. all the best restaurants are open ( the ones which rely on good food rather than scatter cushions to attract customers) and there's so much space to move around.
the island is fresh and green and absolutely full of beautiful spring flowers and really does have a good to be alive feeling about the place.

totally different to summer - everyone should sample it.

Stephen that sounds like bliss.
We go every May for 3 weeks and I can honestly say it's my Fav time on the Island. Just about to book our hols for March and although it's tempting to fly out to Ibiza I think we'll go to St Lucia for the Sunshine (I need my bones warming up after this winter)

Whats Ibiza town like at the weekend in March/April?

The island is gorgeous at that time of year. It's a great time to explore if you hire a car. The resorts, though, are very quiet especially as Easter's not until the middle of April this year. I know that may sound quite attractive, but I wouldn't fancy wondering round Playa Den Bossa, San An Bay or Cala Llonga looking for somewhere to eat or drink in the evening, although there are a few places open. Ibiza Town and, to a lesser extent, Sta Eulalia have life all the year round. And I actually quite like San An in March. With most of the bars, shops and hotels closed it still feels a bit like the fishing village it used to be. The other thing to do is stay at one of the island's beautiful "agrotourismo" country hotels.

BTW, I know Stephen wouldn't approve of me telling you, but the hedonistic clubbing side of the island isn't totally dead in March. Friday or Saturday night you can still go out, hit a couple of bars, then on to Pacha before finishing up at one of several after-party bars which can see you right through to lunchtime.:spank:
