Ibiza Hotel and Car Offer

surely it would be cheaper to book elsewhere and hire a nice car, especially when some of the reviews for this place arent good, saying that its not in the countryside, but in the middle of an industrial estate ??!!!!!!!!!!

of course it could be cheaper to book a more basic hotel but then, not everyone decides on their accommodation on a purely price basis. the sa talaia hotel is clearly not in the middle of an industrial estate, it's several hundred metres from gala night on one side of the ses paisses residential area and appears to be surrounded by pinewoods in the google maps satellite photo.

We dont book hotels on a price basis, we go on reviews, and on tripadvisor theres not a lot of good reviews, which would put us off, it states its just outside an industrial estate and you can hear and see the highway from Ibiza and San an,
Also a few people have said theres not a lot of staff at times, who dont speak English, I know its in Spain, but surely if theyre dealing with holidaymakers, they should speak more than just Spanish, also the cleanliness has been questioned, these are things that would put us off,
At nearly 200 euros a night Id like to sleep in a clean room, and have friendly staff around, and it be in a quiet area,
We,re coming to San an in September and the first part of our holiday is 4 nights in Ibiza rocks, but thats because we got a package including tickets to see Madness,
the rest of our stay will be in a nice 3 star hotel,
but if you normally go to this hotel , then its a good deal

let's look at the facts should we. there are 28 reviews on trip advisor and 21 of them give it 4 or 5 stars. that's 75% good, 25 % not so good, so i would say that the majority of people liked it wouldn't you?

the one really bad review which you seem to have read most is the one which totally inaccurately places the hotel 'close to' (not 'in the middle of') an industrial estate, which if you look at the satellite photos is just not true.

i too take into account reviews when booking a hotel, but i don't just read the bad ones.

Fair point Stephen,:) although I personally only look at the most recent reviews,to decide where to stay, solely incase management has changed since the good reviews were written,
Our short time in Ibiza is way too short and precious to spend even a minute of it being unhappy,
Obviously other people look at different things in different ways, and obviously being lucky enough to live on the island you would know if the hotel is near an industrial estate,or not. so now youve clarified that fact, anyone reading the tripadvisor reviews would know that what they,ve stated about it being near an industrial estate is incorrect,:)

here's a tip if you're after the most recent reviews on ta. they are sorted by default to the language you use to log in and by chance the last review in english was the worst one and i think included moaning about the lack of that language in the hotel. you can use the google translate feature to read the most up to date reviews of any hotel and in the case of sa talaia they were all good and posted concurrently with the one you read.

having said all that any old crackpot can post any old codswallop on ta without ever having visited a place!
