Yeah I was in there expecting the worst but he had a good bass heavy sound perfect for the room. I went from being able to dance, to being able to shuffle, to being completely wedged and then back to shuffling 😁😁. That was my first time back in there since pre Covid days. Nostalgia hit me hard in the garden, it’s a shadow of it’s former glory. Everyone trying to squeeze in to a corner and the noise pollution from inside wasn’t great And 80 bucks to get in!!
I think I’m only gonna go north these days
Times are changing
I presume you bellowed 'DON'T MUFFLE THE SHUFFLE!" and were instantly de-wedged? :D

I remember the old days ( like others here ) : There were no smartphones , only digicams. It was forbidden to use them in the most Ibiza clubs ( I remember El Divino ). Everyone was happy.
Let the kids their cam shows at the bossa clubs and ban it at Akasha , Pikes and the other good ones.
I had the feeling , that outside the season the number of phones decreased. Was it right ?

The first (amateur) pix probably started appearing around 2004 (?) when the clubbing forums, myspace and sites like 'don't stay in' were all gaining traction, but usually a terrible rez & still incredibly rare at darker clubs like The End in London. I was hired to take a few thumbnails for one site and would have to clear it with the management first. Cue nervous responses back "No fingers down throat shots" etc...

A world away now of course... although you can still find discreet dancefloors if you're that committed

Yeah , I remember late 90s early 2000s had seen the first digicams. But normal small cams were avaiable ( Rollei for example ). With the right film , the pics were ok . For the younger ones : In Ibiza there were a lot of shops for developing analouge films.

I used to stuff my HP or Canon Digicams in my pants when walking through the doors of the clubs in the mid 2000s. Always heard they were banned but never got caught. Have plenty of footage, but it's a real bummer how poor those cams would be at picking up the sound
