Okay...so I braved the rude a$$ people at the Chicago DMV to get my license believing the cheap rentals I saw were automatic. hahahahaha

I can't drive stick!

The automatic cars are just ridiculously expensive. I'll be there from September 8-17. Anyone renting a car and would like to take sweet little me for a ride? I'll pitch in on petrol. I'd like to have a chill day of checking out villages, beaches and playing some tunes.

Not in Europe! I'd say at least 95% of people over here learn to drive a manual (stick).
