Although we tended to make it last 3-4 days and took the back roads through France and Spain.
But the quickest route is motorway all the way. Bloody knackering though! RAC gives you an accurate toll road route, it takes 27 hours. But you really do need to rest. Paris is a nightmare to go through. I would advice stopping off half way in Southern France and getting a nice hotel. Do you want to go to Barcelona? The quick 6 hour ferries are the best, we took the 13 hour ferry
Driving to Ibiza is the only way. If you get the 13 hour ferry it normally comes in just in time for sunrise. Ibiza town looks stunning!
Not done it before, although I hear the roads are much clearly in mid July, and the quuickest route is (and I found this hard to believe, although my mate at the AA tells me it's the truth) via Bromley apparently. Then France> Spain ferry to ibiza. Job's a good 'un.
Other option would be driving to Denia and take the ferry there as the journey from Denia to Ibiza is the shortest. Motorway from BCN to Denia in June or July will be fine
the route planner's with RAC/AA etc are pretty good buckers.............the best option is without doubt to drive through france and spain. even if you share the driving you'll still need an overnight stay somewhere south of france (like sirens says).
ferry to bilboa or santander are soooooooooo boring, 24 hours on a ship (get real!!).
the adventure of driving through france and spain and trying to make it to the port on time for your ferry is the perfect way to kick off your ibiza adventure this summer.....................gettin lost is also part of the fun!!
i can feel a road trip comming on next year
would be good if we got a convoy going from people around the uk on spotlight and travelled together like the gumball rally
