Ibiza beginning of April

Hi all,

I am interested in booking a hen do to Ibiza in the Easter holidays, so at the very beginning of April 2013, but I'm concerned no where worthwhile will be open and the weather might not be what we were hoping for.

We are a group of 30year olds who are looking for sunbathing days and cocktail filled nights and one 'big' night in a club.

Does anyone have any recommendations of thoughts?

Well you're already guessing correctly you're not coming in peak season. You'll be coming literally at the very start of the season. The hotels just start to open and so do most bars and restaurants. It will be still quiet, but you will find enough places open to entertain yourself (and Pacha plus smaller venues will be open on the weekend for a big night out). The weather can be so-so in April, so if you get a few cloudy days and maybe rain, best to hire a car and go and explore the island - Ibiza is beautiful in spring time!

i arrived on 28th April this year and the island was like a ghost town, no-one really started to arrive until the second week in May. There will be 1 or 2 places open but it'll be all workers out there at that time. Id definitely try and book later on if you can.

As above expect it to be very quiet. Also quite cool, make sure you pack long sleeves. Its a great time of year to visit if you want to see what Ibiza is like without hoards of tourists, but don't expect a beach/club holiday.

Ibiza town in April was buzzing and very much alive when we visited in April this year. Many seafront venues along the promenade at Figueretas were open. The only thing it is not possible to tick on this list of requirements on the list is the weather. As nostrum says is a lottery, some really hot days (sun tan lotion required), others much cooler.
