We've been for 4 days in Ibiza last weekend, the last days of May. I never visited the island in this period before, and I must say it worth it.
Pacha on Saturday night was veeery crowded. The music wasn't the typical Pacha music. The DJ, Andy B, played more electronic music instead: people like Tiga, Felix da Housecat, etc, so I had a very nice surprise and spent a fab night in there.
El Divino had its summer season opening party, but I wasn't really interested in it. The club Anfora was almost as crowded as in a September night, both on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The harbour bars, calle de la Virgen, Dome, etc, were all open and pretty amusing. I didn't actually expect the island so amusing for this time of the year, just a week before the beginning of the main opening parties. They were far from bustling (except for some terraces in calle de La Virgen), but lively enough to enjoy. There was plenty of Germans, Brits and French mainly. The Spanish and Italians rather use to choose months like July, August or Sept. There was also a lot of people who were spending just a few days, or just the weekend, not a week or two like people tend to do from July to September.
Just after Pacha closed at 8 more or less, we headed to Lucifer. It was my 1st time there, and I have to say I liked it a lot. It's a wicked place, it was packed, and not a small as I expected, as it's actually a middle-sized club.
Finally we decided to get back to rest at 11, but some friends still kept on to another after-hours (a bar in calle de la Virgen called Sunrise).
Regarding beaches, we visited Cala Xuclà, just beside Cala Xarraca and Portinatx. Very beautiful and secluded place. The water was still cold, but we had a nice bathe.
The terraces in Plaza del Parque, a nice place for a brunch, an appetizer, or the first drink, were full of people.
In short, I would recommend anyone to reserve a few days at the end of May, as a starter for the summer.
