shame it wasn't the chickens - i could have said their cost was chickenfeed in comparison to the goats.
 
Pmsl at this article. Great plan on the Council's part 8) .. more solutions like this and everyone's a winner. Except maybe the guys who would have got the 28,000 Euro contract - who will be 'bleating' all the way to the Social Security Office for their income support ;)
 
Using goats for clearing land is nothing new. Farmers elsewhere use them and hire them out for clearing brambles, trim the lower branches off trees etc (I'd like to see the chickens and pigs that can do that).
