Ibiza again or......?

Hi

Me and my partner have been coming to Ibiza the past few years but we are thinking about whether we should try somewhere different.

We are both in our early 30’s, when we’re in Ibiza we’re not full on party every day but we do like to go to at least 2 or 3 club nights or daytime events during our time there.

Although we both still love Ibiza, I feel like I might regret not trying to see a bit more of the world!

I’ve been considering portugal or Croatia for a change. Since we’re used to Ibiza I worry that we might get a bit bored if there’s not enough going on in these places (but at the same time since we’re early 30’s we don’t want to be in the middle of the wild young scene either). Does anyone have any experience of holidays in these countries and have any recommendations for resorts etc? We’d like to see culture and countryside etc but stil have a buzzy atmosphere for evenings.

Sorry I know this post isn’t strictly Ibiza but we might end up booking to come back to Ibiza again anyway!

TIA

Thanks, Lisbon does look good, think we’re looking for more of a beach resort rather than a city break though.

I've also been to faro in Portugal, if that's any help... really, really boring place. I just can't go to any other typical beach resort after Ibiza - all disappoint IME.

Thanks, that’s what I’m worried about :( Maybe we should just book Ibiza again..... Hopefully we’ll have plenty of time to explore the rest of the world when we retire!

An exception would be Malaga - working Spanish town with a beach. Lots of bar/tapas nightlife, but not many places to dance! It's a nice place to waste a few days.

The only place I have been and had nearly as much fun as on Ibiza was Key West.

Otherwise, I kind of like Limassol

I have not been clubbing in Croatia, but have stayed near Dubrovnik and it is a very pretty place, good to see for a week but will warn that the beaches are more shingle and rock lido's and not a patch on Ibiza.

Have you tried all the resorts on Ibiza too? I went to Santa Eulalia in October last year and it was like a totally different island to San An and Bossa in July/August. I enjoyed the chill as much as I have done the clubbing (god i'm getting old!)

Some Greek islands are said to be like Ibiza; for me if I wanted something really different and was into clubbing I'd try Odessa (Ukraine) which is supposed to be a really cool place, but without the Brits (so far). Beach, clubs, the lot.

But then again I've just about done every country on the Med from Gibraltar round to Cyprus so I'd need to be looking somewhere really different. There's also Morocco on the Atlantic or Med; that might be worth a shout??
