ibiza - 9th sept - amnesia - yay or nay???

as some of you know it's my stag do in Ibiza the weekend everyone here is there too.

now i'm supposed to be calling the shots with regards to which nights we go to but one of my ushers thinks Tiesto is God....each to their own. :roll:

Tiesto is at Amnesia on the Thursday night when we arrive, we arrive around 23:00 so should be able to make it. I've not been to Amnesia as it never seems to have anything on offer that i'd be into....i really do not like trance.....however.......I see Nic Fanciulli is playing the same night so......

whats the setup? do they have different rooms......a terrace or something and what sort of crowd can we expect? i really like Fanciulli so think it may be worth checking out.....otherwise i'll just let whoever wants to see Tiesto go check it out for themselves.

The main room will play trance and will be rammed, not that keen on the Cream crowd either :roll: But the terrace is much better, funky techy house and doesn't get as busy.

What about Deep Dish closing that same night Crofty?? I'd do that if we got there 2 days earlier :evil:

yeah i'd like to but we're going to Pacha Fri night for Danny Howells....feel like it would be a bit "Pacha overkill".....

Mmmm good point :? Tbh everytime I go to Cream I end up saying 'never again' :roll: altho saying that we're meant to be going for Closing :roll: :lol:

What about Underground on Thursday nights, free to get in, excellent music and then if any of the stags want to embrace the trance they can head over to Amnesia.

hmmmm......that does put me off the cream thing then.....i don't fancy wasting cash.

Underground.....i've heard of this but dont know much about it. I presume it must be close to Amnesia....any idea on the dj's...who's playing etc?

can't see any listings for it but might not be looking in the right place.

free sounds good though! ;)

I can't really see Cream being your thing Crofty and is it worth spending 40 euros or whatever to spend in second room :?

If you do search in Parties and Clubs there is loads of stuff bout Underground, Weds and Thurs are the best nights to go (one is Mr Cs Superfreak night and the other one is Craig Richards I think off the top of my head), heard really good reviews bout it, opens midnight I think and you get the likes of Tongy, Lottie etc down there.
 
Amnesia's certainly worth going to as a venue, it's one of my faves anyway. Cream's proably not the best night to go on though. :?

Crofty - Underground is quality and, as Babs says, free. Cream (IMO) is pants - we get guestlisted every year and still can't bring ourselves to go. The music is ok on the terrace, where Fanciulli will play but the crowd is very young (nothing wrong with that in itself) and the last time I went, a couple seasons ago, they were pissed as farts throwing up all over the place!

ta fella.....i thought as much which is why we haven't been...it's good to get peoples opinions though.

You won't enjoy Cream, Crofty. Best to go to Underground I reckon. I will be going to Cream - not sure for how long though, we'll see how pants it is. I'll catch my mate Gareth play and then probably head over to Underground for the rest of the night. As soon as Tiesto comes on I'm outta that main room.
 
I've got to say I hated Cream with a passion when I went for the first (and last time) last year. We walked in and within 10 minutes we had walked out to go to Pacha.

Overriding memory is lots of pissed up young kids, too many baseball caps and FCUK t-shirts all over the place.

Sorry for being prejudicial but thats how it was for me...i'm not sure that I did see an England football shirt but it wouldn't have surprised me in the slightest had I done so.
 
for a stag do d go to cream mate I dont reckon the gang your with will take to underground. Where as at cream they will be able to get wrecked and have a good laugh...

I hated it this year tho last yr was awesome especially the closing. 8)

this won't be a normal run of the mill "brits abroad" stag do though and most of those who are coming prefer something a bit more discerning. underground certainly sounds worth checking out but having looked at some of the past posts on this board it appears that Tuesday night is the busy one not Thursdays :?
 
start with underground and then hit cream @ amnesia.
cant speak for the others, but i myself had some of the best nights of my life in cream @ amnesia (and i only got back into trance a year and a half ago).
IMO the atmosphere there is the best superclub trance atmosphere u can find, maybe in the whole world!

which is great, if you like trance.....


i for one cannot stand trance, especially the flouncey rubbish Tiesto plays........hey each to their own though.
