Right - the summer season for this year is officially open for business...so now seems a good time for us knowledgeable spotlighters to make a few predictions. These are obviously your own viewpoint and i suppose there will no definitive right or wrong answer...but lets have a go. Will be interesting to see people's views....

So, what will be.....

1) The Night (Promotion) of the Season eg Cocoon, Circo Loco etc etc

2) Venue that has the most successful season overall?

3) Surprise of the Season?

4) Biggest Disappointment of the Season?

5) DJ/Act who will enjoy a great Season?

Would be really interested to get your views...
 
1) The Night (Promotion) of the Season eg Cocoon, Circo Loco etc etc
Hoping some sort of daytime event at a venue like Santa Cova but reckon Tribal Sessions at Sankeys is a good shout.

2) Venue that has the most successful season overall?
Ushuaia based on commercial choices this year

3) Surprise of the Season?
Gatecrasher definitely

4) Biggest Disappointment of the Season?
Boom

5) DJ/Act who will enjoy a great Season?

1) If Gatecrasher Presents gets more dates, I think they could easily pull off the dark horse trick and enjoy wild success. If I had to pick a single DJ, I would probably say Carl Cox. Not out of any particular feeling on the matter but history backs his night as one of the best on the island.

2) Amnesia - Great solid line ups every night, long running history and sticking to a perfectly good formula.

3) I really hope it's Santa Cova.

4) Probably Santa Cova :(

5) No way to say with any certainty but W&W are probably in one of the better positions to have their blow out season this year.

What's with the Santa Cova - Cova Santa, guys ... at least we can start out able to say it the right way round !
