This was my 4th time to Ibiza, staying for the 2nd time at the Playa Bella Apartments in San Antonio Bay. The holiday didnt get off to the best of starts as our plane was delayed by almost 3 hours, which meant we actually lost a night of our holiday. What should have been 7 nights at the hotel, was actually 6. We finally got to the apartments at 8am, in which we went straight to bed. Got up in the afternoon to find a letter on our patio table saying how we had missed the welcome meeting, which had been at 11am. I just laughed at this.
Now to the fun part-
Had originally planned to see Tiesto on Monday @ Privilege, however at last minute, decided not to bother. Took a trip to the West End, in which they were offering free tickets to Koolwaters @ Eden. So the lesson here is that it isnt neccessarily wise to buy tickets before you go. Wait and see whats actually happening when you get over there. It was quiet until about 3am, when the club picked up a little. For free, it was great, really impressed, had a great night and listened to some good tunes. Obviously the atmosphere wasnt as good as nights such as Judgement Sundays, and as expected, the majority of Eden was closed off. As i say though, for nothing it was brilliant. Also, with the free ticket, you got a free second drink!

On the nights that we didnt go clubbing we visited the West End and the bar/restaurant strip of the bay. Had a good couple of nights doing this. Enjoyed sitting at Mr Toff watching the world go by with some offers like buy 1 get 1 free, 2 drinks and a jug for 10euros etc etc. Then going to Play 2 at around 2am was a laugh. Strange mind you, 1 minute its packed, then it just goes dead, then will pick up again. Didnt stop us from having a good laugh and a dance though.

This year we decided to do something different. For years I have visited the Pacha shop, bought the t shirts, read the magazines etc so we thought that we would give it a try, and picked Subliminal Sessions with Eric Morillo @ Pacha. Didnt get off to a good start as we didnt have a clue where to get off of the disco bus. I think we jumped off at the wrong stop so we just flagged a taxi down which took us to the club. Our tickets were 47euros from mega music in the West end. Got into Pacha at about 1ish. Stunning club, it has character and the music was good, never really been to a house night. 2 vodka redbulls came to 34euros, which was ridculous. Then by about 2.30am, the club was full. Extremely overcrowded, you seriously couldnt move. I had heard that the club was pretentious, but that was just 1 way of putting it. There are far too many VIP areas, it isnt a club for music, about the clubbers having a good time, its somehwere to show off, I'm better than you kind of thing. Everywhere you go, everyone thinks they are better than you. Its pathetic, and the price, you just get taken for a mug. I seriously won't be bragging about going to Pacha. To top it off, Eric Morillo didnt Dj until 4am, by which point we had seriously had enough. I am glad I gave it a go, however its just not for me. No offene to those who go and enjoy it, but people thing its this great place to hang out with the celebs and the A listers etc, it really isnt. The staff are just as ignorant as the snops sipping champagne looking down on you.
I definately won't be visiting Pacha for a long time, and I won't be buying anymore tshirts from them so congratulations to Pacha for making us feel so welcome and esuring the clubbers, the peope who count and made it what it is today had a good time.
Also, upon leaving the club, couldnt find the disco bus thats meant to pick you up from paca and take yo to the main towen. Ended up getting a taxi to the bus stop in the main town.
Visited Amnesia on Thursday as Cream is a must. We were not let down. Fantastic night clubbing. Got the free transport from Bn3 in the Bay which got us to the club at about 1am. Started off in the main room and danced away until the first ice cannon came on. Amazing, definately the best experience for me is being in that ice cannon with the lasers etc everywehre.
As with Pacha, got a little too overcrowded by about 3am, however you could actually move and it didnt bother me too much. When it did get a little bit too mad we made a move into the terrace which has had a complete transformation. Looks amazing and they too now have an ice cannon which kind of beats the main room cannon. Its brilliant. All in all it was our best night, absolutely amazing. Stepped out of the club at 4am, to find a bus heading to San Antonio, so my thoughts on the disco bus changed a little.

Unfortunately that was all the clubbing we had time for. Had wanted to go to a few other nights but it wasnt the end of the world. Unfortunately didnt get to visit the water party at Es Paradis and didnt get to see Tiesto.

As for dusring the day, we visited the main town one day, and we went for a trip on the blade runner in San Antonio. 35 euros for just over 1 hour. Its a jet engined boat that is able to perform stunts etc. Was fanatastic. Heading towards rocks, holding on for your life, then a quick sudden handbreak turn. Definately worth the money, would highly reccommend it.

I would definaely advise that you dont buy tickets beforehand. No offence to the companies that sell them before hand but we have never had to que to get into a club, and you find that the tickets are cheaper from shops such as Mega Music in the West End, who have on good offers and are very competitive. The reps prices are ridiculous if you consider this for example- Koolwaters@Eden on Monday was being sold at 27 euros by our rep, yet it was free on the door. So I reccommen you wait until you get over there. Shop around.

Dress code and ID- I have never ever seen anyone be ID'd in Ibiza. I didnt even carry my drivers licence etc. Its not needed. You are fine clubbing in shorts, tshirt, flip flops etc. Just bear in mind clubs like pacha can get a bit funny with the dress code. The door men seem to pick and choose who they want to let in. Every other club seems to be okay.

And to finish, I know people get delayed but I just though first choice were crap!

hope this has been helpful!!!!

the day the guardia civil stops you try to explain to them that because some idiot rented a bike to you without asking for the driving licence first you thought its not needed.....

ahh but as i said, i didnt rent any kind of motor vehicle, so FOR ME i didnt need it. Surely common sense would have it that you DO NEED your licence if you are going to get a car or bike etc. If you are not, then in my opinion it is not needed. That is all what my point was.

Interesting review...

A lot of your points about Pacha where in a discussion on another page here somewhere. You just need to understand different cultures mate, the Spanish are like that with everyone! Don't take it too personally! I remember when I first started going to Ibiza when I was like 17 and I felt the same, that these people where looking down at me, the trick is to just ignore anyone who you think is being like that with you, laugh at them if you feel they are looking at you any particular way! Be honest, who really cares what some Spanish bloke thinks of you?! Lift your chin up and don't let some dickhead ruin your night mate!
