pino sagliocco announced yesterday at the annual FITUR tourism fair in madrid that this year the ibiza 123 rocktronic festival will take place the 26th, 27th and 28th of july.

the promoter, who today has a meeting with representants of the consell insular and the san antonio council, revealed that it might happen again in ses variades (commonly know as "sunset strip") but at the moment they're also considering other alternatives in san antonio.

apparently MTV will be involved too. like last year, spotlight will keep you updated with all the latest news...

other alternatives being the old quarry, the hippodrome and san antonio pensioners club over the indoor market.
 
the hippodrome would be good but i think is easier for everybody if it happens IN san antonio (well connected with buses, etc) instead of surrounding areas. also, THAT sunset...

Hope it does come back.......but in reality, doubt we will ever see it again, not in this recession anyway.
 
Bet San An council are gutted. I know it attracted a load of people to Ibiza for the first time last year. That photo above really does say it all, doesn't it :roll: ... Ush..... .... no I'll not repeat my thoughts on here !!!
 
maybe the owner of the land has other businesses which might be affected by a big festival there? just a guess.
 
Maybe the organisers of the festival were afraid that they were whipping a dead horse and pouring in good money after bad? just a guess
