Ibiza 09??!!

Hey guys, just returned from Ibiza last week and cannot wait to get back next year deffo want to work the season :D...never done it befor but just thought f?!? it. I know its ages till next year but just wondered if there is anyone thinkin of headin out next summer, and around what time. would be good to get chattin to some other workers im going out all alone (mates are being boring and stayin home :rolleyes:!) so lookin to make some new friends while out there!! also if there is anyone out there whose worked the season before could give me some tips ie when is best to go, where best to get job etc. i am hopin to stay in san an as i have heard its the easiest place to find a job plus i know my way around as been past couple years.

Im probaly looking to head out there mid september when the season starts kicking off. Like you il also be going on my own as my mates all have other commitments or are boring lol :lol:

hiya, just wondered when u went last year did u do bar work or pr ing? im thinkin i wanna do bar work - dont think i have the stamina to do pr :confused: i dont have any bar experiance - do u think it makes a big difference? im workin full time at the mo but if it would help get a job im thinkin of getting a part time job in a bar here jus for sum experience. did u go on your own last year? did u find getting a job hard? i cant wait till next year...roll on may :) xxx
 
Ok guys - I live here and we see this alot - to get the decent bar jobs you have to be here EARLY - you've got to remember alot of people live here all year round so we get to land the better jobs before the direct flights even start. Get in touch with the bars now, email etc and get your name down straight away. It's not whats on your CV that counts, it's your attitude, for example, we will not consider any prospective employee who puts clubbing down as their interest/hobby. Why would you employ someone whoe will not turn up cos they're wrecked from the night before? And please dont turn up with enough money to last you a week, you are not going to start earning enough to pay rent etc straight away. Get some money behind you this winter and come with enough to last a couple of months so you dont have to worry - it also demonstrates a mature attitude etc

If your goin out the same time and your interest in sharing accomo / teaming up let me know. I think goin out there alone is the best way. u got no one holding you back, you are pretty muched forced to make news friends otherwise you wouldnt last a week.

Hey well i didnt go out til the 25th of july but found it relatively easy to find a job as people get fed up and go home etc.. I was sellin tickets for Space, walking round the beach in the sun all day cant beat it! Didnt do it for long tho as i caught up in the ibiza madness and it all went abit jew-jank lol Was still great tho..

The only hard part was trying to find an apartment, my god it was a nightmare thats why im going nice and earky this season..

Im am interested in working and living in Ibiza next season with a bunch of people that are of the same mind set as me (a bit mental :twisted:)

A little bit about me...

Im 21 and will be 22 by next season
Ive been to Ibiza for two long holidays in 2006 and 07 and hopefully will make the end of 08! So know all the clubs and San Antonio well

Have been working in Ayai Napa from the start of June as a PR Superstar :lol: and sort of PR manager for 2 bars as well as a bit of ticket selling on the side.. so am quite experienced doing this sort of thing in a San Antonia sort of environment. That it the sort of job i would be looking to get in Ibiza. Also know a thing or two about setting up accomadaton and living in a foreign country

Massively into music in general but electronic in particular.. House, techno, downbeat and loads of weird and wonderful stuff in between! Also starting to get into DJing.. if i had the money i would properly :p

hi everyone.. my 1st post on the forum. faye123 just got me to sign up as im the nutty one that wil be heading out next year with her :D
Never been abroad for more than 2 weeks so definately will be a new experience for me but cant wait!!!! Spent a week in san an last year and was best week of my life :D

Just back form ibiza on sunday there, that was my third year going in a row and each time it just gets better and better, love the island! really didnt want to leave in the slightest and have decided that i definatly wanna go out and work next season from may-september/october. Thing is i have never done this before and will more than likley be heading out alone. Basically would love any information yous could possibly give me about anything really, what type of work to go for/how easy it is to get accomodation/what i expect to get paid ect ect.......

I am looking to head out at the beggining of may and would defo be up for meeting up with like minded people to share accomodation, im 21 from belfast, obviously love the whole party scene,music and clubs. e mail is gcrawford1987@tiscali.co.uk

Hi All

I am also thinking about working in Ibiza. I will be 22 next year and from Southampton I know the Island very well so can get from a-b no problem.

I will mainly be looking for DJ work as I know how to work the crowd. I can cater the music taste of the west end or the more unheard of house music in more upmarket bars/clubs.

I have my own CDJ1000's and have expereince with scratch live. I can produce a demo CD's if requested.

I have DJ and Bar & Promotional experience.

Hi, probably like the rest of you im suffering from the Ibiza blues and cant wait for next year! Im thinking of going out there for 6+ weeks maybe doing a bit of flyer / promo work in the daytime to help fund the epic nights out!
