My girlfriend and i have returned from Ibiza today and we can't wait to write our review ...

hotel:
Stayed at the cenit hotel in figueretes and were positively surprised:  really comfortable rooms with a brilliant view over playa d'en bossa and the figueretes beach. And not too far from ibiza town. Probably staying there again.

monday - car trip to the north + manumission:
rent a car and went to the north. had a lot of troubles with Hertz as we had no credit card and booked the car via our travel agency. Left from the airport after two hours of annoyance. went to aguas blancas first. Lovely beach with high waves, little rocks in it and you can walk in endlessly. afterwards we went on to cala xarraca. gorgeous scenery. will definitly go there again. at night we went to manumission opening party. nice show but too many people. got stuck at the terrace for half an hour ...

tuesday - ibiza town:
as the weather was cloudy and a bit rainy we stayed in Ibiza town. went to the marina botafach, the light house till talamanca and drove back to Ibiza Town via ferry. Very disappointing. only tourism traps and ugly hotel blocks. went to Dalt Villa in the evening and what a difference. Enjoyed one of our best nights there. went up to the city wall and had the greatest view over ibiza we could have imagined. stayed at the "salus bar" with a bottle of sangria, good tapas, a very nice staff and local tradtional musicians. Even got offered free tickets for pacha and el divino :!:

wednesday - formentera:
didn't like the landside, but the beaches are stunning 8)
rent a bike and drove to cala saona and platja de mitjorn.
great cliffs at cala saona at the right and a kind of a moonscape on the top of the left. but also got a "kiss" of a jellyfish. What a shock!!!
Found a lovely tiny bay at platja mitjorn close to the blue bar. Went there afterwards and enjoyed another unforgetable time there. The best chillout you can imagine. We wanted to go to Illetes beach too but we couldn't find it. Maybe it was because we were too drunk after all the sangria ...
Definitly go to formentera again. And if it's even because of the wonderful ferry trip!

thursday - atlantis + cream:
Atlantis, "the secret place", but we found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although we had a lot of difficulties to get a taxi to bring us to this area. ;) Atlantis came up with all the expectations we had. The rest is secret and has to be secret!
went to the cream party in the evening. tiesto was great.

friday - las salinas + kumharas:
didn't have great expectations for this beach because of the big crowd. but - what a surprise - we loved it. Shadily, clear water, good music and to some kind very romantic: lying between trees and bushes behind the sandy beach with a beautiful view to the sea.
Sunset at kumharas was as idyllic as we heard it from everyone in this forum. Definitily a first class sunset and will go there again. Maybe when there is a bit more cloudy sky.

saturday - cala conta:
the last day relaxing at a beautiful beach. the best beach concering the scenery. unfortunately no shadows at all and a lot of jellyfish ...

our summary:
the only thing we can say: we love ibiza and already have a lot of ideas for the next trip. Austria welcomed us with some very hot 12 degrees and rain.  :x . We already want to go back to Ibiza
Greetings Adriana+Sascha

Don't know why everyone is so secretive about Atlantis. There's a whole chapter about it in my travel guide, plus how to get there.

Seems to be stunning though! Desperately want to go there some time. But you need a car and I have no driver's license yet.

i know what you mean about those jellyfish in cala conta on saturday.

i'd been to cala moli to snorkel but couldn't get in the sea because it was absolutely infested and so we drove home via cala conta but didn't risk going in the sea there either.
