just wondering if anyone has booked hotels/hostels/apartments through hostelbooker.com. It says you only pay a 10% deposit and the balance in local currency on arrival. Don't want to turn up and not be booked in! Anyone know about its reliability??

i used them last new year when i went away for a few days.i found them ok just pay deposit then the balance on arrival. you get a booking confirmation when you make the booking so you should be ok.

no it was just for a weekend away over here but never had any problems with it.

should be fine. i had the same arrangement with booking through this site before without ever having a problem.

just to clarify, by "this site" I meant Spotlight, but it must be the same for most hotels.
