Today we see the first 11 bands being added to the Second Chapter of the HRH road Trip to Ibiza, 2011. There are 9 nights of rock debauchery this year, which will see us stage 40 bands across all spectrums. Expect, nights hosted by Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Classic Rock's, Prog, Rock Radio, some Blues n Unplugged,Thrash, Old Skool as well as the new blood n tributes,..which will all be part of the Ibiza Biker currency.

Prices start from 230 Euros which includes 7 nights accom and entrance into all events plus the legendary Rock Boat, all hotels will have Air Con, pool and fridge as well as being close to the beach.

All 3 pax sharing will get a free place until 1st January

a little bird twittered in my ear that the ibiza rocks hotel will host hrh this year. hogans, which hosted the event last year is now closed.

Ex UFO gods unite to launch something special at HRH Ibiza

XUFO

Early 2011 saw the beginning of a great new classic rock band, Well we say new in fact these guys have played with some of the biggest names in rock history. Now working together to bring to life some true classic tracks. With a playing pedigree that most can only dream of 2011 is the year XUFO come out to play.

The band Featuring Laurence Archer ( Guitar) who has played with Phil Lynotts Grandslam, UFO and Stampede, Dany Perynel ( Vocals & Keys)Also having played with UFO and Heavy Metal Kids, Rocky Newton ( Bass & Vocals) From Micheal Schenker Group and Lionheart and on drums Clive Edwards who has also played with UFO, Pat Travers and Uli Roth.

As you can see the bands pedigree is in no doubt. And as for the show you can expect some great classics based around the UFO album “Lights out in Tokyo” and “No Heavy Petting”

The band are fired up and ready to go, so prepare yourselves for a cracker of a show with XUFO.

is hogans closed for good or just until season gets into swing? i really hope its not closed for good im bloody 46 yrs of age i cant sit with my young ones all night at a boom boom bar.help! and yes i do like a bit of dance but im old ha ha i need my fix of rock music too!

don't worry, it will continue as a live music venue but run by different people.....



(btw, HRH road trip I took place not only at hogans but also at v vodka club and summum)

thanks for the quick reply, i was starting to panick other than hogans is there any other bars playing live rock music, we are awaiting line up for ibiza rocks for the 13th and 20th july so we can book tickets for that. are normal haunts ....highlander.godfathers, thats why i like to escape around the corner to wash my ears out with a bit of Rock ha ha.

thanks Don,i will indeed make a point of talkin to Marco. i just love a good old ramble about anything connected with music espicially Rock,coming from N.IRE we have been spoilt for choice with our rock bands,and unfortunately lost one of our greatest rockers the legendary Gary Moore a belfast man and great blues/rock guitarist,so The Pinguin Bar will suit me and my daughters b/friend brilliantly.

just to add on to the visits to the Pinguin Bar/hogans the bonus of seeing Biffy on the 20th at ibiza rocks, tickets for 3 bought yesterday morning as soon as they announced. what a summer this is gonna be,still cant convince the Mrs to go but myself daughter and b/f will certainly enjoy rockin out,long live Rock! :twisted:

More bands, more fun, more Road Trip

Bonafide have now joined the ranks and are flying in from Sweden and Denmark for an HRH preview...special band with a special sound and I believe they even have had a number 1 in Sweden too..great HRH discovery.

Industrial nutters Sci Fi Mafia, featuring UK Subs drummer are lining up one of the craziest shows Ive ever seen, and you lot knowing me, says a lot for whats in store, really will be crazy !!

And new kids on the block Idiom..who are selling out tours everywhere have become a last minute addition adding to the Metal side, something extremely differtent.

Early 2011 saw the beginning of a great new classic rock band. Well, we say new, in fact these guys have played with some of the biggest names in rock history. Now working together to bring to life some true classic tracks with a playing pedigree that most can only dream of, 2011 is the year X-UFO come out to play.

The band features card-carrying UFO members Laurence Archer, Danny Peyronel and Clive Edwards, with Rocky Newton, from UFO spin-off MSG.
Laurence (Guitar & Vocals), also played with Phil Lynott's Grandslam and Stampede, Danny (Lead Vocals), with the Heavy Metal Kids and Tarzen, Clive (drums), with Pat Travers and Uli Roth and Rocky (Bass & Vocals), with the Michael Schenker Group and Lionheart.
Between them, these boys' track records range from writing hits for UFO, THIN LIZZY, MSG, MEATLOAF and even David Gilmour, to singing vocal harmonies on DEF LEPPARD's mega-classics “Pyromania” and “Hysteria”.

You can expect some great classics based around the UFO albums “Lights out in Tokyo”, “High Stakes & Dangerous Men” and “No Heavy Petting”and generally spanning the ultra-classic UFO years.

X-UFO's plan is to tour worldwide to give the fans a fresh take on a classic catalogue they are forever linked to.

The band's official debut is set for the 4th June 2011, headlining the saturday at the Hard Rock Hell Road Trip Festival in Ibiza and they're currently being bombarded with offers for festival appearances and tours. They'll be recording a live album in the course of the year for their first release.
