Heres a challenge..

You are spending a season in Ibiza , you are abit worn out by the big crowds and decide to spend a week in Ibiza without visiting the Space,Amensia,Edens of this world

How would you do it? (other than sleep) What bars/restaraunts exist that new tourist might not discover..

what goes unnoticed on this island that deserves more attention?

nice imaginitive thread... interested to what you and the more experienced spotlighters come up with.. will put my thinking cap on :)

roughly 80% of ibiza's visitors pass this challenge every year so it can't be that difficult.

Well i know i'd probabley go on more boat trips and watch more sunsets and probabley try and not get **** faced every night and go to more restruaunts as last year went to the curry house near the sunset strip as i have done in the past with my mates, and couldnt eat any of it as we felt that ill from the night before. The staff did give us a rather funny look lol. But yeah, try more restraunts out of the way , any suggestions from any of you guys?

monday - have a fun day at aguamar
tues - drive around san juan to calle san vicente & lunch at the restaurant at the far right of the beach
weds - es bol nou
thursday - a walk down to atlantis
fri - recover at benirras & evening in san juan
sat - hippy market at las dalias, off to dalt vila & then the port bars in the evening
sunday - benirras

like stephen says - only 20% of the tourists come here for clubbing

lol i do this nearly evertime im in ibiza - its rare im in a club! - the island has so much more to offer than just big heaving clubs

i usually spend all my time relaxing, going for walks, soaking up the magic, time spent at the beach, some lovely drives and exploration of the north of the island, eat some gorgeous food, either home cooked or out and about and i always always go to es vedra for some solace for the soul

oh roll on 2 weeks when i will be there doing just that:D

After 20 years of visiting two or three times a year I haven't been to a club yet - maybe I've just been lucky :D

I would Have lunch at El Rincon de Pepe (San Antonio West End) and dinner at either Rias Baixas or Es Ventall both in San Antonio if I had the money and time. and spend evenings either at Kumharas or the Sunset Ashram.

nice restaurant in ibiza town...Comida san juan, no tourist go therem cheap and great food! or you could go to la oliva restaurant in dalt vila for a nice meal. but if you are in ibiza just to relax, stay in the cala vadella part of in the north, its so peaceful up there!
go to some bars like Grial or pereira!

enjoy!

If you're up for travelling around the island and not just sitting near Ibiza town there's countless things, a couple that come to mind.. thought I'd stick a few of my photo's in along the way..

Sunset and sheesha at Kuhmaras
If sheesha isn't your thing, I'm sure fruit smoothies and crepes will be. One of the nicer 'busy' locations to watch the sun fall..

Check out some of the better hippy markets, particularly like this one with all the food and drink available, can quite easily spend hours there and not get bored

stray off the paths slightly in ibiza old town to get some nice views or a cheeky dip

It's definately not for everyone, but I've always taken a bit of time out to check out some of the better graffiti tucked away..

The food at Banyan palace (thai) is gorgeous (if not quite pricey) but the place is worth it for the decor alone

If you're going in season, you're bound to stumble across sandsculptures, I quite like walking past some of the more commercial beaches just to have a peek at them, and tip of course ;)

There's a nice simple family ran pizza place in ibiza town which is worth a bite during the day, I don't have a photo of the place but it's opposite this display, I'm sure Mcsherlock or someone will help me out though :)

A nice night out in Santa Eulalia for us is a couple of drinks in Sandys Bar then a short walk to CanaSuni which is a small family run restaurant just of the Paseo Maritimo really excellent food and wine. Be carefull not to trip over the dog (chi chi) as you go in
