How Was Your New Year

it was amazing and really great !!!

sven väth & ricardo villalobos @ cocoon club and JUST ONLY PARTY...all night long.....f*ckin' great NYE PARTY...best nye party in my life !!!! 8) 8)

The best ever!

The hotel we booked into (St Pauls in Sheffield) was amazing! This place must have cost zillions to build and fit out 8O Got a great penthouse room with ace view overlooking the Peace Gardens.

Booked in, had a few drinks, then went down to use the pool and the different sauna rooms.

Few more drinks then tux on for evening do. Met some friends who were joining us and headed down to get started. Champagne was flowing nicely, got the 5 course meal out the way and spent the next few hours getting more and more messy. Met loads of wicked people and things got pretty crazy. Sat in bar until 4am, then dragged ourselves upstairs and collapsed.

Woke up feeling hey ok so ordered poached eggs from room service, sorted our stuff and checked out. Was a tad :? discovering how many drinks we'd signed for and mini bar bill. Didn't really care though cos we had a fantastic time!

I recommend this hotel to anyone staying over in Sheffield. It aint cheap but what a stunning place! Love the glass atrium with the restaurants underneath which connects directly to the Winter Gardens giving a wonderful backdrop.

Happy new year!

:D

How did Vath seem at Cocoon club? He cancelled Pressure in Glasgow on the Friday with little notice, claiming to have serious gastric interitis.

Amazing New Year:

Party first with about 35 folk, followed by street party with 20,000 people, followed by club, followed by after party till 11am. Great night, and very messy!:p

Went out again last night, and ended up with a gorgeous girl...so I'm happy today:D

Havent slept since Friday though:?

excellent nye for me, my bloke was designing lights in the melkweg (amsterdam) for double salary + open bar and i was partying with some friends. it was sold out and all 7 rooms were open, and they had a 'silent disco' too which was weird cos you could choose between house and trance so half of the people were dancing to a differend rhythm :D

was meant to o to the after party on a boat with deep dish but stayed in melkweg instead.

haha no wonder, he was in amsterdam the night before ;)

Fantastic ! Having seen in last year feeling very uncertain about my families future, I can happily say that we are back, bigger (well, slimmer in my case), stronger, and better off in every way !!!! It was some celebration ! 8)

Urgh, will someone call a vet to put me out my misery 8O

NYE me and Tom headed over to Jamies early and met up with Gollum and had some food and lots of champagne, had to text Mulletover to find out where the secret party was, got there at 9.30 after a quick stop off at proper East End boozer and then got ushered into the secret party, such a random location, toilets full of Elvis memborillia  Music was pretty rubbish of the minimal 'I'm too cool for school' variety but lots of minxiness followed, including shaving Tom's hair

Left there and went back to Jamies where things got very messy and ended up on a cruise and in space 8O

NYD felt more wrong than I've ever felt in my life, couldn't even face wine (which as anyone know is unheard of for me 8O  ) and there was NO WAY I was going to The End, eventually braved it at 9pm and the wine definitely had some medicinal powers. Headed to The End with a second lease of life, bumped into some of the usual suspects but I was there in body not mind  Me and Tom left and went back to Jamies, heard Jamie and Gollum get in at 7am, thought I'd get up and join them for a quick rose but he'd brought Jon Becki and co back with him, ended up having a full-blown cruise session, got to 5pm reality hit home, forced a Chinese down us and somehow managed to crawl across London feeling like I needed to be put down 8O

Fab New Year, great company and lots of minxiness, just paying for it big time now 8O

Loved it but can't really see the keyboard...

Mulletover - very good. I quite like boring minimal bleeps (don't listen to b__ o__, she likes Gatecrasher! ;) - oh dear - was going to send you a worried text yesterday...are you at work today?). We were told to pi$$ in a bucket because there weren't enough loos. Lovely venue - the plushness was well worth £20.
Also saw Trisha on a podium. :?

Circoloco - again, very good - in fact amazing. I always thought the end was pretty mediocre as a venue but I've never seen it go off like that before. Again, loads of Steve Bug styleey minimal bleeps and simulated hand claps. 8)
One of the best crowds I've ever come across in London - lots of smiling faces for a change.

Enjoyed seeing/meeting everyone...SarTomJamieGollumakaMaryPoppins (always come as a foursome), B__Nick, Ferd, Russ, JonBec...and all my embarrassing Brighton cousins!!!

Aw, had such a lovely time, want to do it again!
Am fully dosed up on 5HTP, Berocca, Nytol from last night, Echinacea and Multivits...feel ok-ish - made it into work despite making up an infaliable skyve masterplan but it's reeeally horrid to be here.

Have a good week and hope to see you all soon continuing 2006 in a similar vein!

Great New Years for me too. We havent gone out on NYE for two years now and find it so much more enjoyable.
Had lots of people over to ours for NYE.....lots of minxiness and finished up around midday on New Years day.
Few hours sleep and then got up around 6pm, some food and a few Roses and then off to the Fridge in Brixton for Orange. Lots and lots of minxiness and managed to stay until 8am. We also ended up on a Space trip at some stage during the night!!! 8O Home to bed and collapsed.

Why is it that deep down I was pleased and felt that pi$$ing in a bucket was a privilege?...It's almost like the more horrid the venue is, the more it feels like good value for money!

I walked in with the husband and we immediately exchanged a look of, "Yep, suitably horrid, we like."

super fab new years eve indeed

pushca on the friday was excellent, great production values although the crowd was in parts pretty awful, drunken wide boys and I even saw a fight. Bouncers were rubbish too, paying no attention to anything apart from their mates and their phones

However by about 3am the worst had left and we had loads of fun in the downstairs room dancing to less cheesy house which was excellent, and then at 5 we got out coats and headed for the after party at sway bar, which was in conjunction with the hat club. Absolutely brilliant crowd there, lots of smiley faces and everyone very messy. How good is 24 hour licencing, there is nothing better than a beer at 7am :D :D :D

Left the after party at 11 and got back to my dad's with my mates. Crashed on the bed luckily avoiding my dad 8O 8O 8O  and woke up at about 3, feeling rough. Had some lunch and then arranged to meet up with my mate laura in town for a few drinks before circo loco

Circo loco was amazing, arrived super early at 9.45 and we were some of the first people in. Outraged that they were charging £25 on the door  - a mark up of £10 on the online price right??

Inside the music was brilliant, Locodice and steve bug were fantastic and the last guy playing was completely mental. The end was transformed into the dirtiest nastiest place ever and I absolutely loved it

Lovely to see everyone from here again, thanks robder and friends for looking after me when Laura left at 5.30 to catch her train to bristol 8O 8O .

Now in work and I just saw myself in the mirror for the first time today, I look like I'm about to die   8O 8O

Happy new year!
