Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a guide on how to make .cue files for audio?? (it would be with no gaps between tracks...)

I had a template before but i've lost it now!!

Cheers :)

If memory serves, you line up your tracks in Nero (or you CD authoring program of choice) and set the gaps between songs to 0 sec. Then you set it to write the CD image to disk instead of burning a CD. You'll end up with a .cue file and a .bin file.

Is that what you're looking for?

ahh, that would make sense...

It's basically for mp3 mixes that are one track.

I know how to split them up and write a cd with no gaps, but I wanted to write a cue file to send to people along with the mp3 to enable them to burn a cd with tracks instead of the one track.

Would what you suggested work?

Cheers

Then what I said is exactly what you need to do. Set up Nero to burn a multi-track, no-gap CD as you normally would. Only when you get to the point where you'd normally burn the CD, tell Nero to just save the CD image to disk.

As I mentioned, you'll get 2 files (bin and cue) and both are needed for people to burn a CD.

Ah, that's a different way of doing it... might be better because then you don't need to distrbute the bin file.

yeah, that's what I was after - So I can just send an mp3 and a .cue file.

I used to have a whole template though.... That link has a part of it but not the whole lot!!

Cheers for the help guys! :)
