It's certainly expensive going in late July/early August. Have the prices gone up significantly this year? Even doing flights and accommodation separately is more than double what I've paid previously.

Whatever happened to getting good late deals...

you get late deals when accommodation remains unsold. this year ibiza is expecting between 600,000 and 1 million more visitors than last........ there won't be many rooms left.

That's what the word seemed to be - madness!

LAst year, i went at the start of July for two weeks, and i paid £490 something like that, this year im going late July early August, and im paying £530, So for later in the year, and a supposed inflation of cost ... its not too bad

I agree accomodation is stupidly expensive in August, but it's the busy month. One more reason to go in September, when the prices are almost halved. Just hope the weather stays nice then 8)

That's not bad at all. Where are you staying?

For PDB, everything seemed to be £600+ for two weeks, whereas I've paid £400+ for the same places in September.

Damn school holidays!

I did and it would've been well over a grand at least, and that was starting with some fairly mediocre places. Disgraceful!

think its just because you're going at peak season, where accomodation is more than double... i notice the places i'm looking at staying at... and i've been at the same time for the past two years are the exact same price a last year!

Indeed. I got the Jabeque last year for pennies and they were wanting over £850 each for two weeks this time!

Im staying in the hotel riveria which is in San An Bay, its a 3* hotel, and its bloody good !... more orientated towards kids entertainment, but they do offer packages for the people who like to go out around the clubs. .... and if your put off by the kids, the entertainment is laid out, so it appeals to all what ever your age, and kids running about playing "killer pool" is much better than drunkern yobs i guess!!

The hotel is situated fairly well, with it being about a 20 minute walk into San An, but in the heat it may take longer,... but by taxi it was no more than 5 mins, and about 3 euro.
