How much money will i need??

Hi, Im off to ibiza on the 14th july till the 24th July and i was wondering how much money people recommend i take??..ur advice wud be much appreciated.
 
aye, deffo take as much as you can, you will be on your hols, ya dont want to be scrimpin and savin your money!! :)
 
Are there plenty of cash points in San An I am looking to take about £1K also but dont really want to be carrying it on me through the airport etc!!

Whats the wisest and cheapest way to handle your money ie
1. take some money cash and take some in travels cheques....or
2. take some cash, once that is run out go to the cash point?

i would take cash and travellers cheques , use card as back up xxx in case problem with card, it happens loads then you end up with no money xxx
 
how much money

get a nationwide flex card they dont charge you for getting out atms,so long as you have put enogh funds in,the rate in san an is never as good as say es cana-shop a bout a bit,but never use one that says 146.7 ect,you have to chance 1000s to get that rate, and they give you a very low rate,like 135 ect,once you find a good place try and stick to it,i only use cash now,and my cards,see what the rate is on the day,then ask anyone going home if they will wish to change it back,someone always has to much to bring back to uk,me i dont i just use them nexttime,
 
San An $$$ machines...

there is a cash machine/Banco near the taxi ranks you know at the bottom of the west end next door to the chemist, i have used these on several occasions and not had any problems, i usually take plenty of notes with me from UK tho, i never bother with travellers cheques, just keep my notes locked away safe. the chemist is handy too, good english speaking and freindly.

me and my pals have decided to take 1500 for 14nights which is 100pounds per day and a little spare just incase

does that include club entrances or jsut food drink etc? thats like $200 USD a day. Wow tahts alot of money!
 
Everything i would think, im planning on taking as near to £1200 as i can for 10 nights, works out to 120 a day, but them ill be happy to bring some back, just dont want to get half way through and realise ive not got any left!

whats the going rate for things like that over there and are they easy to get hold of?
 
We have only ever taken a couple of hundred Euros/ Pesetas and used cash machines, of which there are plenty all over the place. The beauty of using the cash card is not knowing (or caring) how much you have spent until you get home :)
