HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN 'CLUBBING' FOR?

erm...just wondering on average how long people have been clubbing, caning it for etc...i started in 1992, and have promised myself (not for the first time) that this will be the last year. I am defo planning to knock it on the head after ibiza as 12 years seems excessive, and it does take it's toll......what about everyone else????

hmmmmm, thats my point..most people i know do it for a few years. then knock it on the head....... i think my time has come!!

12 years, same as me!!! that makes me feel a bit better...how old were you when you started?? i was a tender 15.....it makes me cringe now to think of caning it when i was fifteen..i was literally a child...

7 years. I must say this is the first year I have started to have 'doubts' over what I do etc ( And am only 22 8O ), I was have been really keen the last few years but sometimes it feels like it really does take its toll and that travelling to fessies etc..... is too much hassle.

But then you have a quality night and those thoughts shift (for a bit anyway!!!)
 
about 2 and 1/2 years and loving every minute of it, i dont think you need to knock it on the head, maybe just chill it out a bit, there is no need for hardcore clubbing every week IMO, i think Ibiza, festivals and occassional clubbing keeps it special!!

I started caning it at 15 (seriously the kids today start much younger :lol: ;) ) but my first proper club was when I was 16 which was Back to Basics and I'm now 28.

In those 12 years the longest time I've gone without going clubbing is a month and that's only cos I had a bet with a friend cos she bet me I couldn't do it, that was about 3 years ago :lol: ;)
 
I'm only 19, and most clubs allow 18 or over, so a year and a half by default.

I went to my first Rave when I was 14. It was an illegal underground rave in an abondoned Heluva Goode Cheese warehouse. Got shut down at about 1:30 in the morning by the cops- one thing about this warehouse is it didn't have a good parking lot, so parked cars were spilling out into the roadway- one of the most used roads in my county. Personally, I'm surprised it lasted 4 hours. I didn't get caught.

I started at 15 but that was going to Helter Skelter, Hysteria etc :oops:

I then went onto 'scouse house' clubs :oops: :oops:

Finally progressing to more 'regular sounds' when I moved down South :o

thats pretty similar to me, but it does have an effect, i'm not half as confident and articluate as i used to be.......but i think/hope that after a good stint abstaining you would regain your sharpness.....

i think this ibiza will defo be my last time....so, i better make the most of it!

Do you think so, I think you become more 'sensible' as you get older, you might go out as much but you don't take as much and you're more sensible when combatting side effects, eg HTP, berocca etc.......
 
hmmm yeah i suppose, i've just recently cottoned on to your HTP tip, so hopefully that will make a difference...i suppose i am slightly more sensible these days...but only slightly.....

hmm!!

probably about 17yrs!! i first started going to the "hacienda" in 1987 which was when "house music" first started to filter thru to englands dancefloors!! in them days i was dancing all night on jack daniels and lots of 17yr old energy!! that changed in 91 when, ahem!!! i was introduced to someone!!! pretty much been at it on & off since then.

Proper clubs: 10 years

I find clubbing really boring these days though + the pressures of work etc just makes it so impractical :?

Don't mind the odd event, but mainly go to clubs on holiday really.
 
14 Years 8O Started going to 'raves' in 1990 and still not bored with it. Had a few long breaks in that period mind you.
 
First big night when I was 14 yo (15th Oct 1994) at an all night 'rave' in Edinburgh called Rezerection. I then started to dance for them when I was 16. 8O Been clubbing ever since but gone are the days when I listened to Hardcore & Gabber music. 8O :spank:
