Last year before finishing the summer I told myself that next year I will be:
1.-super skinny= I am on my way but I don't think I will be super skinny for my first sunbath. As every year:?
2.-I could wear a brasilian G-string bikini = no way I can!!!:lol::lol:
3.- Lookafter my feet with very nice creams and massages= Yesssss!!!!
4.- I would have my driving license= NO, I haven't, not even started with my lessons.
5.- I would read a few of history books to keep on improving my general knowledge: No, just time to novels, newspapers, fashion magazines and profesional books.
6. I will be running an hour neally everyday: No, just 20 minutes plus long walking with the tongue outside like a dog:spank:
7.- I would get used to eat lots of salads and healthy food and just the fattening when I go out: NO way!!!
8.- Me and my friends would learn not to ask thousands of starters before the maincourse: No, that is impossible
9.- I would be more social: Yess, I created and succeded in a Club of books and friends of wine:D:D

Give up smoking - failed, failed, failed

Tell me about   Stopped for about 2 months at the end of last year, then just started having an odd sneaky one when I was out drinking saying I'd just be one of these 'social' smokers, now I'm back to being a full-on smoker

smoking - not even tried giving up but I did want to - always an excuse like 'after this weekend' and now it's 'after ibiza as I'll have to smoke out there'

getting fit for summer - started this plan in november and succeeded in vaguely going to the gym, so I'm not really there yet at all :? - trying to go 3x a week until Ibiza

Save up some money - more in debt now than when I started (although I did pay off £78 on my student loan last month - first payment, 15 more years to go  )

Have learnt to drive - not even had any lessons for ages. Too expensive when you've got important clubbing duties to do

Get fit - failed miserably.

Pay off and cut up my credit cards - ok, so I did pay them off....couldnt quite bring myself to cutting them up (and sneaked some shoes on there the other day! )

Drink less - Doing well so far....all goes down hill when I´m in a social situation though....tonight.....

Anyone tried hynotherapy to try and give up smoking? I am just a social smoker but smoke loads when I go out

hypnotherapy doesn't work on everyone - first find out if you're the hypnotisable type. Generally people who are more suggestible are (i.e. a little bit gullible  ) more easily hypnotised. I was told I couldn't be because i was a scientist and our brains work differently - always skeptical and questioning!

If it works on you I found this great website once with hypnotherapy stuff on there, including a section for hypnotherapy games where you would have a partner who you would hypnotise to, for example, wet their pants whenever you said the right word     I think it was supposed to be a kinda sex game humiliation thing but I just thought it would be the best ever trick to play on someone.

My friend did and he's probably smoking even more now than before he had the hypnotherapy :?

I had another friend who stopped by reading Alan Carr, I read him but by the end of it I just wanted to punch the stupid patronising Yank so the first thing I did was light up :?

The best thing I've found are patches, I stopped for 2 months on them, had no cravings, wasn't even tempted when I went out.

I shall ditch the hypnotherapy idea then

I tried the patches and ended up smoking while wearing them, same with the gum. When I have consumed so much drink and other stuff, giving up smoking is the last thing on my mind

That's the thing, as soon as I have a drink all willpower goes straight out the window, I think the only thing would be to give up drinking AND smoking, but then there's not really much point getting up in the morning is there :?

What about Aim 2 - secure residency at local hotspot :D  Did you achieve that one??

i've got a few guest slots but haven't finalised that all important oakenfold-esque residency yet...........i hope headingley is ready for me8O

Pay off debts - failed (but I have halved them since last year)
Lose a stone - failed (although there's still a month to go before Ibiza so fingers crossed!)
Stop smoking - succeeded (more or less)

I think thats all I aimed for at the start of the year :?
