How is Dystopia?

I'm leaning towards Dystopia Ushuaia on Friday.
At first I thought it was a Elrow rip off...but now that I've seen some videos and pics on Instagram I'm having second thoughts. It looks kinda good, with diverse house, techno, disco music.

Has anybody been there? How was it? Are the entertainers fun or simply annoying?

A pale copy of Woomoon
Ah ok. Music style is different though right? I'm seeing a lot of commercial housy tracks mixed with some tech-house if I check out Instagram.
Definitly not looking for Woomoon copies. Woomoon is unique.

Okay..thanks.
Found this on youtube.
Gives a solid impression...i see what you mean with the woomoon copy.

Is Luciano still playing his party party style or is he slowing it down for this?

Luciano: "This party gives me a platform where I can diversify. I'm a DJ; if you ask me to play music, I'll play disco or house or techno, but I'm good at adapting it for a specific crowd. I've never really boxed myself into one style, however, so DYSTOPIA gives me a real chance to experiment.”

Full interview here.

luciano added to this week again. playing almost all dates by the looks of it.

we were at dystopia two weeks ago and it was the quietest I've seen ushuaïa in recent years. by 10pm the dancefloor right in front of the stage was nicely busy (far from packed) but the whole area behind the pool was empty.

has to be put in context though - new party, tricky season as island isn't full so far....

Agree with what Stivi says above. I was there 2 weeks back. I actually quite liked having some room to move in Ushuaia for once (though I avoided all of last season). The back part of Ushuaia is a bit like a hippy market etc with stalls for clothes and food. People having back massages, and doing some Yoga on mats up on the balcony. The crowd was slightly older, relaxed and was just a good pre-party. I wouldn't build this night into my vacation as a 'big night', but it was OK to drop into. Being a new party, I think they could probably have done something with the ticket price.

Well I caught him at Cocoon/Pacha the Wednesday before and was the best set I have heard him play for years. At Dystopia, it was slower, and a few phases where it was a bit too many loops. However, still better than he has been playing for a long time. Personally would have quite like him being even more experimental as the crowd would have responded to it.

Agree. It’s a poor man’s Woomoon, but I actually had a pretty good time.
