How easy is it to get back to San An from Privilege

Planning to go to Manumission Sept 7th 07. I have heard it can be a nightmare getting back to San Antonio afterwards. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is it a problem? Is that Discobus any use? and how much does a taxi cost.

Last time I was at Privilege was a few years ago. I remember the rush for taxis were a bit crazy and dangerous. I don't think the discobus runs to Privilege. I would hope that by now, they have a good taxi queue system worked out there. I think a taxi would prolly cost around 15-20 euros?

If you're there until it closes it's hellish. I've used the discobus to get there but never managed to catch it coming back. There are taxis (back to San An will cost around 20-25 euros) but nowhere near enough of them and you'll have a looooong wait. And forget walking cos that road is REAL dangerous, though they have been making improvements. Best to leave a little earlier, before the masses. I've left about 3.30 but then I'm an older guy who likes his bed, so this may not suit you!

Whatever you do, have a blast and stay safe. :)

The cues are long, take your sunglasses the sun is brutal after a night of dancing.

wot time does manumission stay open till. iv bin to ibiza the last 2yrs but not bin yet but plan on going this year.

Buses are dead on if you are planning to stay most of the night - once the day service gets underway you will get one every 15 to 20 minutes. I don't recommend the illegal taxis, I once got one (a Ka, no less) from Pacha to San An and it was the scariest experience of my life.

If you do the illegal taxis, I suggest you do it with a few others and I wouldn't recommend it to the lone or pair of girls out there.

remember what happen outside DC10 last summer...guy got killed....will never do illegal taxis, too dangerous!

i have not been for years, but logic tells me that getting in a car with the kind of guy offering that service, uninsured, at that time of night.:?

wait for a bus. some things are to important to take risks on. travel at 60 mph being one.

...that Discobus ...

Remember These Tips for Riding

* You should arrive at your stop at least five minutes early. Wait on the sidewalk or in the bus shelter where the coach operator can see you.
* As the bus approaches, check the sign above the front window to be sure it will take you to your desired destination. If it's the correct bus, signal the operator that you wish to board.
* Stay back from the curb and wait until the bus comes to a complete stop.
* Be ready with exact change, bus pass or transfer before you board. If paying an economy fare, show your ID to the operator.
* If you need a transfer or a Day Pass, be sure to request one from the coach operator before paying your fare.
* The coach operator or bus will announce major stops and intersections. If you are not familiar with the area, feel free to ask the operator to call out your destination.
* When you are about one block from your desired stop, pull the cord or press the bell tape next to the window.
* Gather all your personal belongings and exit through the rear door, unless you have a bike stored in the bike rack. In that case, you should exit from the front.

i've never had a problem with the illegal taxi drivers
because they do offer u pills. 8O

we got an illegal cab back from space last year and the driver looked like he was "enjoying" something judging by his manic look , why we went with him I dont know, but anyway he stopped at a garage and bought four kitkat chunkys (he kindly asked us if wewanted anything) then drove off unwrapping them and chomping away like Alan partridge on toblerone. Then he spotted a police car and decided the best way to act inconspicuous was to turn his lights off as we drove past it.

A stiff drink was required at our destination.

The illegal taxi's can be a bit of fun. I have had no problems so far but I never ride alone.
