how do vip type shuttles get around not having taxi license??

HI Guys

just being nosey, i meet loads of folks here who organise parties and pre parties and they throw in hotel to airport and club transfers in a mini bus of some sort, i just wondered how they get around the licenses and insurance that are not readily available for this type of thing unless you are a bona fide taxi

i know owning a restaurant or similar allows you to transport your guests free of charge, but surely this is not the case in every instance.

It`s the "free of charge" bit, If plod stops em and the "guests" Say they are not paying for the journey they can not do anything, It`s not driving for hire as it`s called, It`s a lift :oops:

yes my mate owns a restaurant on the mainland and has the bus branded, i just wonder how everyone else gets around hire and reward, taxi drivers can be a nasty bunch.
