Hi!
We have just returned from two weeks in (on?) Ibiza and I love it so much I am craftily trying to work out a way to return.
So I am proposing the idea of a house swap. Read on if this interests you (or please let your friends know if you think it may interest them)...
We have a four bedroom semi-detached terrace house in East Dulwich, South London (SE22) and would love to swap with you for a similar sized place (2 bed minimum) anywhere in Ibiza. Our only strict criteria is that it must have internet/ Wi-Fi.
We have two small kids so our place is well set up for a family (stair gates, two cots, toys etc) and three rooms have double beds. And we have a lovely, private and safe garden for playing in.
Our time is flexible and we could arrange this for a long weekend, a week, and possibly a month or longer. My longer term plan is to move over - so I'd like to visit during the Winter months to see what it's like and to scout around for property/ nursery etc.
More about East Dulwich:
East Dulwich is in zone 2 of central London (ie very close to the city). It takes 12 minutes to get to London Bridge on the train - which is a 5-10 minute walk from our house. London Victoria is a 25 minute bus ride, as are Elephant & Castle and Brixton - our nearest tube stations.
We are situated less than two minutes from the high street which boasts 32 restaurants, lovely cafes, gastro pubs, an organic wine shop and boutique fashion outlets. We have a Co-op supermarket two doors away so grocery shopping etc is a doddle. There are two banks on our street, and we're opposite the post office and a laundromat. This means that you do not need a car while here - everything is within walking distance (or a short bus or train ride away).
We have five noteworthy attractions near by: the Dulwich Picture Gallery, the Horniman Museum, Dulwich Park, Dulwich Baths (an indoor heated swimming pool) and the North Cross Road (Saturday) markets.
It is a lovely, leafy and safe area - ideal for kids with so many parks and activities near by.
So if you feel like a city-break, or have a wedding or event to go to, or you want a fix of West End theatre, or need to return for health reasons or for anything at all - let me know. Perhaps we can come to an arrangement.
As mentioned our timing is flexible, however we are committed to being in London for Christmas/ NYE, so unfortunately that option is out.
Also, if you can think of another place for me to get this message 'out there' please reply. I am not sure if real estate agents on the island broker these types of arrangements?
Thanks for reading and considering/ sharing this idea.
cheers
Kath
