hotels near the sunset strip

hi guys,

can anyone tell me the name of the hotel above cafe del mar. is it the catalina?? and what is the hotel directly behind mambo?

the buildings you refer to are both blocks of private apartments. savannah has the hotel catalina right behind it but this is the subject of some controversy at the moment as its owner - already threatened with a jail sentence - has opened it without the proper permissions.
 
Oooh dear so have I, sunset view, catalina.
I've spoken to the dimwitted staff who do the booking for the Playa del sol group and they haven't indicated any problems. However they took 5 attempts to get my booking right.
I had to resort to my angry spanish, which for some reson is more intelligible than my relaxed spanish.
However this place has been open before as a hotel and everyone who reveiwed it gave it great reviews due to the view.
The owner has been employing loads of illegal immigrants (no doubt paying them crap) and thats why he was in trouble I thought. I didn't know anything about his lack of paperwork for the catalina.
