Hotels near San José?

Got some friends renting a villa around San José - but there's no room for me :-( (in fact, there's no room for several late-comers - funny how we all come of the woodwork at the last minute!).

So assuming I'm renting a car and that I won't be spending too much time in a hotel room (yes, all free-loading around the villa pool ... or in Amnesia ... sigh ... oops, had to take a moment there), any recommendations for a hotel room? Yes, finding somewhere in San An might be easy, but I was thinking somewhere a little more out of town - and we are all over 30 - think more Ibiza Town people but on the opposite side of the island ;-)

Any ideas?

Shaken or stirred? Wasn't planning on taking a DJ there (too many already! - sad tuxedo joke, I know).

Anyway I just know I'll end in various taxis going to friends' villa ... and if I leave my car at their place I can nip back quickly, rather than crossing the island to Ibiza town - that is, when I'm back in a fit state to drive :D

Thinking now of a 2 star to the south of St Anton now as I won't be spending much time there, so might as well save some cash. The Tagomago looks like it's away from the busiest part of town, but any others further out?
