Hey everyone

We're hitting Ibiza last two weeks in August & can't bloody wait! We're booked into the San'Fora and the reviews I've read the place seems alright but I was round my mates the other night & they was thinking of coming over for our second week. I told them they need to book the same place as us & when i told them where I was staying they started pissing themselves laughing.

Apparently they stayed there a few years back & said the place was a **** hole, arrghhh! Help!

If anyone has stayed there or has any comments on the place I'd be grateful to hear them.

thanks

i have!!

hey,i can help you i went to ibiza in 2006 and stayed in san fora and i thought it was nice had no problems there and it was clean and tidy :D

Am I right in thinking its an Azuline hotel? Me and my mate are staying from 10th Aug and I have stayed at the Pacific which is an Azuline hotel and that was very good so I cant see it being horrible.

san'fora

Me and my boyf got back from Ibiza yesterday. We stayed at the San'fora. It was a nice hotel. Quite basic though.
Our room didn't have any sort of eating/ drinking equipment or a fridge which we found annoying. But yeh, it was fine. Maid service every day and air con. What more do you need?
you'll have a fab time. We're feeling sad because we're back home! boo!:)

Cheers!

Thanks for that folks. Think we're going to try to hire a fridge if we can, does anyone know if this is possible?

Leave on Friday for two weeks, woo hoo!

i thought this hotel was pretty decent.
food was ok and the pool was a decent size.
rooms were clean, did have a prob with the shower which flooded the bathroom everytime we used it!

would stay there again. however didnt really enjoy the walk into San Antonio. eneded up getting taxis after a while!

having recenty stayed at the sanfora here is my review which i wrote on tripadvisor holiday reveiws website

we have just returned from a two week stay at the sanfora in san antonio, ibiza. The hotel itself is nice. The reception area is 24hour and is clean and tidy and the snack restaurant and bar is joined onto this area and is just separated by a glass wall which is abit strange but nicely decorated and good size. There is a intenet service in one room and a lounge area is a good size. Rooms are quite bassic but clean and of a good size. The bathroom has a full size bath and a powerfull shower and water was always very hot. Maid service was daily and they always did a good job of keeping the whole hotel very clean. The pool area was nice a average sized pool also a kids pool and sunlougers and seating areas. All in all we were pleased with the hotel although it was the guests which were the problem. We were aware that san antonio had a lively reputation and we were expecting abit of rowdy behaviour but this was just somthing else. At the end of the day when the pool was empty the amount of rubbish guests had left around it was discusting. Empty vodka and beer bottles, wrappers, food and all sorts there was plenty of bins around the pool but they couldnt be bothered to use them. Then on about our fourth day we went to sit out on our balcony in the morning. When we opened our balconly door the smell of cannabis was so strong that we couldnt sit out there and after only having the balcony door open a fue minuets our room stank of it! My partner went down to reception to complain and a member of staff said they would deal with the problem but a hour later when we walked down the stairwell on the fourth floor the smell of it was still there. The next day just before going to breakfast my partner was on the balcony and looked across to see a another male guest on his balcony snorting cocaine! It was 8 oclock in the morning! in the space of half an hour he had snorted 3 lines of cocanie. Just the sight we wanted to be greeted with first thing in the morning! Through out our whole stay the amount of drug use that took place in the hotel was appauling. Every day we would witness groups of lads on their balconys hoovering up alot of the drug and their blatant lack of discreetness about it was shocking. They were more than aware they could be seen and they just didnt care and convosation about drugs in the hotel was always taking place and could often be heard. One time in the middle of the night one guest could be heard shouting to another about how much drugs they wanted and asking when a dealer would arrive. They were arranging for drug dealers to come onto the hotel premises! Another incedent was that one night before going out me and my partner went to use the lift to find someone had urinated in it. By this point i had just about had enough of the appauling behavior that was going on here so i went to complain to reception. The member of staff that i complained to was so unconcerned i had to show him it in the lift and all he could say was and i quoat "its not my problem, i dont want to clean it up, im not cleaning it up and i am not the cleaner." Now i dont care whos the cleaner that is the most discussting thing i have ever had to experience in a hotel and i would not expect anyone to have to experience that and even worse have to put up with a member of staff that could not care less. we had payed to stay there and had not payed to put up with urine in a lift and sadly the poor cleaners that have to clean up all the rest of the filth that the guests make also had to clean that up too but not untill THE NEXT MORNING! as there are no cleaners that work at night and no other members of staff would clean it as they dont belive its their job! Another thing was that through out the stay the amount af noise made in the night made it difficult to sleep. Shouting, screaming and constant door banging. My partner found it so hard to sleep that in the second week he had to buy sleeping tablets.
The sanfora could be a lovely hotel as the building is nice its in a good location and its clean and maybe out of season it could be quieter but i would not risk staying here again to find that out and the fact the staffs attitude is just to turn a blind eye to it all is just dreadfull.

sorry to read you had a bad time.if you ever go again to ibiza.ask first about the hotel your thinking off booking.or move over to playa den bossa and pay a little more for a better hotels..i know most people are on a budget.but that little bit extra pays in the end....

i did my research before staying at the sanfora and out of many reviews i only found a fue bad ones so thought i had made a good choice but obviously not. And as for paying more money yes i certainly would spend more on accomadation in ibiza next time but i dont think it matters how little or how much you pay no one should have to experience something like we did. Dont get me wrong we still had a fantastic time overall but just wished we wasnt staying there.

know how you feel.last year i got 6 germans removed from my hotel.noise and peeing from there rooms onto the pool area at 5am in the morning.but coming back from space next day did not help them at all calling all the staff on the way in..with 10 mins bags packed and out.you should of asked for the book?.which you can report this hotel to.some new spainish thing that came out a few years ago.where if they dont keep up standards they get reported and my be fined.same with the bars as well.

it only takes a few people to spread bad news and it snowballs into not many going to ibiza.ok i know there is always people who are freshers.but i was chatting to my friends tonight about how there hols was.and they say that not many people were about the resorts/places they went to.most they say were spainish/german and italians..who don;t drink and spend money like british folks do.

ibizaprincessharriet
who did you book your hols with?

I stayed in es canar in a really decent hotel and was cheaper than most of the hotels in san an... I never stay in hotels that are mainly occupied by people who go out all the time its always a nightmare with things happening just like ibizaprincessharriet mentioned... I went in July and had some pretty big nights out and its so nice to come back to a quiet hotel and get some sleep... although the night porter did think i was crazy as i only ever saw him at the start of his shift and when he finished the next morning!

we booked through teletex holidays. The whole deal wasnt a pakage as we flew with thompson yet it wasnt a thompson holiday hense no rep so when we wanted to complain we had to phone a number through to a customer service in the uk then they gave us a local number to call customer services in ibiza but each time we tried to ring there was never any answer

Oh Dear!

Just want to say thanks for all the comments, we had a magic time at the San Fora but I suppose it's what you're after. Don't get me wrong I'm not some druggie but I was out all night kicking the arse out of it and maybe indulging in a few drinks by the pool during the day.

We had no trouble with the staff (Richard Gere lookalike on reception was my fav!), the hotel was always clean without piss & the pool was always tidy. The walk was minimum to San An compared to other places I have stayed in the Bay. We had one problem though where we dropped the key down the lift shaft by accident & got into trouble & a few dirty looks - it was an accident for god's sake. Ha ha.

We tried to hire a fridge but the hotel wouldn't let us, too much electricity apparently! With only one plug in the room though it would have been a strugle for us ladies with our hairdryers/straigteners! Ha ha.

Think if I went back though I'd be hitting Playa de en Bossa. It's nearer the big clubs & Ibiza town & away from the West End.

So many stories & so many smiles when I think of my two weeks in Ibiza.

Ibiza 2009 - here I come! Woo hoo!

Ive seen a really good deal for Sanfora 3rd September for 2 weeks. Ive heard more good reviews than bad but after reading the review saying its dead noisey Im not so sure now. We stayed at the Rosamar on the bay this year and that was 4star and we had noisy Lads above us and my girlfriend couldnt sleep. I wouldnt want to be stuck in a hotel full of lager louts for 2 weeks. Especially when your out clubbing every night and you need sleep.
Thinkin maybe September it wont be as roudy as say July August.

I stayed here in September 2008.
Was full of lager louts, and Germans who were causing trouble.
Never again.

But, dont get me wrong the holiday was good.
I just think you cant beat Es Cana!!!
