Hotel Marco Polo or Casa Maria Hotel

has anyone stayed in either of these in San Antonio. We've booked our flights for next year and we're looking for cheap but cheerful accomadation. These are the two we are choosing between. Any thoughts?
 
Casa Maria is basic but good. I reviewed it on the Spotlight main page. I may be back next June but Im gonna try Playa Den Bossa in September because I spent too much on taxis on my last trip.

Staff are friendly, especially John the night Porter. I buy him a present every time I come home from a night out.
