Do a search because there's another thread with comments from a Spotlighter, Woodruffe, who has gone to check out several of the rooms.

Hi loganradish

Thank you very much for getting back to me.

Thanks very much for the room numbers

What floor are you on and can you see the sea from your room

From this site
http://http://www.hotelgarbi-ibiza.com/garbi-photos/photos.html

Pic 1 would your room be in the middle of that pic?

We are going on the 18th June for 7 days.

Is the hotel very full at the moment?

How is the building work going? I think it was on the left hand side of the Garbi and now has blocked all the views from those rooms to the sea and Ibiza.

Sorry for so many questions.

Many thanks for your trouble and time.

ok as you look at this hotel from the sea.you need to be on the left hand side block.it was room 246 i looked in.right on the corner.good views of sea and pool.if you get a room on the other block non pool side.you will get a nice view of the new flats they have put up.work stopped on the 31st of may.but they can do a few jobs inside.but its not as bad as it was in may days.at least the cranes had stopped moving.which made a right banging noise.

ok i think i am not sure but the blocks of this hotel are odd one side even the other side.

i was given permission to have a quick look round this hotel...i went to the wrong block frist and could not find the room given to me for a look.they i was told to walk passed the bar area to get to the other block....glass seprates the bar and eating area.

just one small lift per block....take care not to trip over the plate sticking out 2 inches.where the firedoors are..

main toilets are next to check in desk on the left as you walk in....check them out ok.very cool sinks.

over all this hotel is super modern.does not seem to have that relaxed touch about it now though.strange lay out as you walk in...bar area seats are at least not plastic..lots of leather chairs and seating areas to relax in.

would love to hear from anyone who has stayed there this year.and your thoughts on this hotel..it just opened in time.with a few things not done.ie wires for lighting....private carpark now with gate.new tarmac drive

no if you have every seen this hotel.on the right used to be a wasteland bit.they have now put a wall round it.and marked out around 40+ spaces.

Just got back from Garbi

Hi all well I have just got back from staying at the Hotel Garbi Playa Den Bossa.

These are the points that you all wanted to know.

1....Hotel is like a space age Hotel.

2....It is very Clean all over no matter where you go.

3....Bed rooms cleaned every day and new towels put out if you leave them in the bath

4...You have a safe in the bedroom,if you want it you can pay 40 euros and get 10 back after you hand the key in.

5....You have a mini fridge in the room (empty) and sat tv BUT only one uk channel sky news plus a phone.

6....We was the only Brit's in the hotel others was Italians and Germans no problem with them at all
never spoke to us accept to say morning or evening.

7....Food was ok but most of it for the Italians and Germans. One good thing was the instant FRY.
You picked your bacon and eggs etc put them on a plate and took them to the bloke on the fry counter
and he fried them while you waited BRILL. Some nights you had steak and other nights pork ribs also
8.... Lot of sun beds all round the pool (some towels on beds) but not a lot. That did not bother us as the Hotel is right on the beach and we went
on that.
9....I emailed them and ask them for a room at the top and a sea view WOW our room was number 470 on the top floor with a fantastic sea/pool
view. You could lay in your bed and look right out to sea.
If you want to know what room is where I can tell you those.

10....Now for the work that is going on round the Hotel, (http://www.hotelgarbi-ibiza.com/) a lot of the things that they say they have on the web
page is NOT open yet as they are still working on a lot of things. The new apartments on the left hand side viewed from the front of the hotel
is still going on. if you get a room on the left hand side of the hotel you will be looking at these so be warned keep away from that side.

11....Hotel staff very nice and helpful.

12....There was NO entertainment at all, it was like a ghost town at night in the hotel. No one sat at the bar and lounge.

13....The hotel looks like if it it used by rep's a lot in for 2 days then leave.

I think when this Hotel is all finished and all things working it will be a very good Hotel to stay at.
You are given a card when you book in to the Hotel and each time you use the Restaurant you have to get it ticked off before you can get into the Restaurant. This is to stop anyone just using from outside. Drinks not to bad 2.20 for a 7 up.

Nothing to due with Hotel AIRTOURS REP what a Joke. We were met at the airport and given a slip of paper to meet at 18.30 that night.
We do not normally go to these but we had booked a taxi for the return trip to the airport and wanted to know what time it was picking us up.
As I said we was the only Brit's in the hotel and we waited for 45 min's and now one turned up.
We looked at the Airtours book (left on a table ) and it said meetings Will be 17.30 EACH night to see if you want anything.
So the twit had put the wrong time. So we came the next night at 17.30 STILL NO REP.
We left a message at the desk to give to the rep if they saw him. we phoned the head office in the end and they said it was all taken care off and the rep would tell us. we did mange to see the rep on the SUNDAY (Our hol started on the wed before) and he said he would find out what time the taxi was going to pick us up and leave a note for us the day before we left, NO NOTE so on our day of leaving we phoned the head office and they said no problem taxi would be coming, which it did. BUT this all could have been sorted before if the rep had done his job.

Ok that is about all if you want to know anything just ask.

What's the breakfast and dinner food like? A friend and I have the meal package included, so we're wondering what they serve.

Hi theonlineguy

Well breakfast is very good, depends what you want from a breakfast.

Cereals

Main Breakfast

As I said in my report you can collect from the breakfast bar various items Like eggs bacon sausage etc etc and take them to the bloke who puts them on the grill and fries them while you wait. Also you have beans and other things. You can do your own brown or white toast or you can have some very nice rolls .Loads of different fruit.

Tea coffee and fruit juices.

Main dinners

These are different most nights but loads of Pasta. salads, fish, meat also uncooked meat that you can take to the Grill again. Some nights it was chicken, steak, pork etc.
also soup

Sweets

Good variety Rice pudding,Caramel,Jelly, gateaus, ice cream, fresh fruit.
Cold drinks on entry 7up 2.20euro beer 2.20euro etc.

All together not a bad selection and always nice and hot.

BTW what part of Canada do you come from ? we did a tour of East and West Parts also the middle of Canada. then went to my wifes cousin in Vancouver what a very nice place would love to Live there.

Any more information then just ask

Thanks for the reply and the information. Sounds great! Can't complain with that selection, that's for sure

I live about an hour from Toronto, away from all the hectic/downtown wildness :-)
