Hotel Garbi - PDB

Just booked in this hotel for July. Went for location more than anything as I don't spend much time in the hotel when I'm in Ibiza.
If anyone knows it, what do ya reckon????
I know Space and Bora Bora are walking distance but what about DC10??? Taxi ride???
Cheers.

I'd go for a taxi, as it's a fair hike, and you need to watch out for spaced out drivers.... 8O

You can easilly walk to Bora Bora and Space from there, but would advise a taxi to DC10 just for your own safety, really although it's not too far.

Yes DC10 definitely a taxi ride, it's in the middle of nowhere!

Garbi has its own Disco every night playing some funked up tunes. You'll never need to leave your hotel. ;) When my friends told me what it was like I was gutted I didn't go too. They heard a cracking remix of Duran Duran and even some trance classics like Sandstorm. 8O

What more do we need!! Sod space I'm off to Hotel Garbi!!! 8O

I'm thinking of staying there in Sept coz it's cheap and right on the beach. The disco is off-putting though and I was reading somewhere on here that they've got really over-zealous night security/fun-police.

The location is good, although I read in the Gazetteer that it was like Butlins and it'll be swarming with kids.

I had so much fun the time I went there watching fat sweaty beer bellied kakkagibbons pulling out all the stops to Barbie Girl.

when you said kids are we talking above or below 18

Under. It's very family-orientated.

I only know this from the fact I stayed nearby 2 years ago and what I've read in the Ibiza Gazetteer which is always rather negative anyway!

i was just about to book a room there too, i can't seem to find a hotel in PDB that is on the beach has air conditioning and is geared toward partying, any suggestions?

Is it a hotel you want? If you're happy with apartments, I'd choose Atzaro (4*, large, AC) or the Jet also has AC now apparently, new for 2004. I'm staying in the Sirenis Jabeque, another apartment in the Es Vive area of Figueretas (but near PDB) which has AC and looks good.

If you really want a hotel, the only ones I can think of which have AC will have families there: Fiesta-which is opposite Space :D and Garbi. The Es Vive hotel has AC and no families but is obviously pretty pricey.

don't really understand the difference b/w hotel and apartment in states we mainly have hotels i am guessing an apartment means you have a kitchen?? probally going to go with jet apartments, i would do es vive the website make its look great (love the song twisted by the pool), but its not on the beach i need to be able to wake up and see the ocean.

Jet has a brilliant location.

Stayed there last year-just make sure you DEFINITELY get AC!

..stayed in garbi last year.......its an ok place to stay...but , theres no A/C...so you have to leave the balcony door open.....and then the planes keep you awake.......its more of a German orientated hotel...and the food is pretty basic....as for the disco...forget it.......cheesy as....
