Hotel Comparison

Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone had any views on Hotel Abrat (sunset strip area).

I have managed to find both this one and sol bahia to stay for a weekend in August.

I have stayed at SolBahia before and think its perfect. Costing about £170 for 2nights. The Abrat is about £130 for 2 nights - so a fair bit cheaper.

Am I worth paying the extra for the solbahia?? Im wanting a fairly smallish place -where we can meet people and have drinks etc- nice atmosphere -chilled, but still got a lively vibe about it....crikey - I'm describing the sol bahia arent I ha ha....

Any Good/Bad Abrat comments? xx

depends how you look at £40.00.if you like it then stay there.for two nights your only going to need a bed and wash up.£40.00 extra spends if you go for the The Abrat.if you was staying longer than i would stay at the SolBahia if you like it that much.

Dawn, i have stayed at the Abrat three times, last year was the most recent

Its a good hotel albeit it a little dated, excellent location and relatively peaceful although there tends to be some noise during the night not from the hotel but from the promenade that runs outside from revellers comming back from clubs etc.

Rooms are okay, good aircon and if you get a room on the fron the views are fantastic. food is good with a plentiful selection, has its own car park which can be useful, smallish pool but large grounds with trees and plenty of sunbeds. it never seems to get too busy even in peak season and doesnt seem to attract the 18-30 beer boy crowd

Best thing is location really, not far from sunset strip, not too far to town either and virtually on the beach. It also has internet facility in the foyer, staff seem very helpful and have always got any special requests for rooms such as high floors, sea/pool views etc.

cheers:)
