Hotel Brisa

Anyone stayed in Hotel Brisa before? I'm booked up just now for hotel Osiris but am thinking of bringing my holiday forward by a week to 4th September so I can catch some of the closing parties happening that week. But i'm not too sure about the accomodation (the Brisa is the only one my travel agent can move me to within my budget) as it looks a bit dodgy location wise - i.e. west end etc

Hey,

I just don't get why people going in September book this far in advance. I have ALWAYS got a last minute deal at this time of year.

Last year, I booked a fortnight on Thurs night (half board 4*) and went on Fri night for £285 all in.

I've seen the Brisa in the Freestyle brochure - looks a bit rough

a) Because I wanted to
b) Because if i didn't I would never have saved up the money I need
c) Because it gives me something definite to look forward to
d) I needed to book definite fixed time off work
e) Because I can count the days down
f) Because there's 8 of us going, which can take a fair bit of organisation
g) Because i'm not you

that enough for ya?

oh, and I almost forgot the main reason....

h) because, for me, anticipating going to Ibiza for however long, is one of the best bits...counting down the days (99 tomorrow btw), planning what nights i'm gonna do as they come out etc, anticipating my holiday in Ibiza is what gets me through those long days @ work, those rainy days in winter and those penniless days towards the end of each month....I usually find it better to anticipate something I know i'm defnitely gonna be doing!

Have stayed in the Brisa many times and you won't have a problem with it.

The pool area is great, loads of sun and sunbeds, the food is good for a hotel (except the free breakfast - which is OKish) rooms are basic but clean, hotel is full of young crowd, no complaints about music, friendly (and well stocked) bar and reception staff are OK. Lounge area with loads of comfy sofas. And reception don't give you any hassle about bringing people back etc. 24 hour reception and bar open til late.

Brisa is a banging choice if your young and up for some fun.

:D

Don't know if you've seen this site:

cheers for that mate, our main worry was that's it's located pretty near to the west end but i had a look at that link and it looks like it's maybe not so bad - it looks just as close to Coastline & Sunsea as it is to the West End so it's definitely looking like a better option. Cheers for the advice ;)

Your right, it's a pretty equal distance to the West End and Calo Des Moro (the sunset strip area) and its far enough away from the west end to not be a problem at all...

Its a safe choice ;)

Got a slight dilemna tho' - we can either stay the same dates (11th - 25th Sept) in the same accomodation (nice, peaceful accomodation round the quiet end of San Antonio Bay) or change dates (4th - 18th Sept) and move to noisy, pretty rubbish looking accomodation that boasts about being "5 minutes from the infamous West End" in the brochure & have to pay £80 extra each aswell....total dilemna, none of us can make our minds up what to do

I'd pay the extra to have the good dates, I wouldn't of thought you'd regret it...

Just out of interest where were you planning to stay in the bay cos there are some rough hotels around there too!

We're booked up at the moment for the Hotel Osiris, which I think is just at the start of the promenade leading into the town from the bay - beside the Funky Lizard bar...we really like the location and the look of the accomodation but have to admit the Hotel Brisa with the better dates is looking like more and more of an option, again, cheers for the advice, much appreciated!

Never been in but the Rosalia looks like a dump from the outside. Rooms @ Brisa are basic but clean. Marble floor, white walls, all double rooms have balcony or terrace. Cleaned daily, clean towels etc. Only grumble is maids don't understand funkoff!
