Hostel: Royal vs. Roca

Hi all!
Going to Ibiza in September for the first time and need your advice on apartments.

I found two cheap hostels in San Antonio (as I will be only sleeping dead there in the mornings) :)

Hostal Royal and Hostal Roca

What can you advise? How are things there with

Noise
Fridge
Air-Conditioning
Royal ads even contain kitchen (!)

??

Thanks in advance!
PLUR

When I stayed at Roca a couple of years ago there was no fridge, no aircon, basically nothing but a bed, cupboard and bathroom.

It was ok, but very hot.

Id always pay a bit extra for somewhere like Casa Maria now.

Thanx *Rich*!

As info shows now, they have equipped rooms with Air-Conditioning, but interesting to know - how effective these devices are

I would like to have better apartments as well, but I have to be a bit economic now, as I am coming only with my friend, so living and car will only be spread on two of us, though there were 4 of us in the beginning

i stayed in the roca last year and found it ok the rooms a very basic. our room was a decent size as we got put in a triple room but was only 2 of us. like rich said it had no air con or fridge last year and i found it quite hot in the night. noise wise it wasn't to bad untill everyone started to get up and you could hear everything. i would defo stay here again, you get what you pay for and i found it in a good location close to everything.

this year i have gone for hostal norte slightly cheaper and it had a pool. so hopefully it will be ok but as long as the bed is clean thats all im bothered about you dont go to ibiza to saty in the room.

Oh, I thought, there can not be anything cheaper, but this Norte is definately breaking all records :D

What concerns me as well - how is about security in these cheap hostels? If I have some expensive technics with me, is it safe to leave it in my room?

Ok, booked Roca, as Norte did not have rooms for my dates today. Yesterday had :(

One question more - are credit cards accepted there? Should be, but asking anyway...

i would say credit cards will be acepted at the roca. the security in the place is ok if your stuff is locked in your room. i had no problems with that but just watch out when your in the the seating area i got my trainers and chain robbed last year. it was partly my fault as i had been out all night on the last night then had to get out the room by 12 and fell asleep downstairs and woke to find trainers and chain gone. but i would defo saty there again. it's in the best location for all the bars. what dates you going?

Great, thanks! Hope, I won't sleep anywhere except my room, but clubs can be exhausting :D

I am staying 2/9 - 6/9. First date with Ibiza :D
