Hostal Mar y Sal - La Canal - Ses Salines

The Mar Y Sal Hostal is on the left on the walk way down to Salinas Beach. Across from where you get off the bus. It has a little bar under it.

with a bit of luck you can catch joaquim kühn playing there, who even wrote a song called mar y sal dedicated to his favourite bar..........
..........and then............
..........pickled + battered,ready to fry.... that is, coming from Salinas after the last swim-all salty-all sandy- you can enjoy a delicious, huge plate of mejillones a la marinera, bread and aioli for very reasonable price (before 8pm) on the cool terrace of Mar y Sal. Usually I'm starving by then and dinner with friends is only at 11pm......

I have been thinking of staying over that part. As Hostal Sa Palmera emailed me yesterday after my information request saying that couldn't confirm any bookings because at the moment Sa Palmera is for lease, they still don't know if it would be open in the summer, I would like to ask, I understand I can arrive from the beach to the hostal Mar y sal without taking the car, is that rigth? is there anyother hotel/ hostal in Ses Salines? how is this hostel Mar y Sal. I am just looking for a place to sleep now and then betwen beach+club+after, so I really don't need much.

for this one we need the help of the #1 Ibiza scout: McRackin
(I know he is able - we'll see if he's willing...
) many years ago I stayed in the small apartment complex (aprox. 6 aptmts.)which you can see when standing at the Salinas bus station, looking to the hill side. They were quiet spacious and nice then... don't know if they are still available to the public, so to speak.
What a challenge for the chief of the Indians!

I have found availability in a hostal called Pepita Escandell. I had been tallen that in next to Guarana, and I asked this question in this thread, but it seems that no one knows the answer. I also would like to know is it very far away from Sa Trinxa, walking distance, I mean. Not that I mind walking but with the heat and hangover...I think the order of chiringuitos is Guarana, Malibu, Jockey and Sa Trinxa.

our "Ibiza Google" can't be beaten! With a twink in his eye even serves una foto apetitosa ... para hacer la maleta ya!
It will take you just 10 min. more than walking from the bus station, and with all that hangover - if you can't make it straight to Sa Trinxa- have a swim in between, or a drink..you know your chiringitos well 8)

venga va - haga ya la reserva, hay solamente 6 apartamentos.
Lo unico - en caso de que no vais a alquilar un coche - alli se queda uno pegado, el ultimo bus de Salinas sale a las 8pm...y puede ser que habra 1 o 11 mosquitos alli.....

Jeje vamos a hacer la reserva!!!!!
We are going to Ibiza the 30 of july just for 3 nigths and then wednesday 2 of august we are going for a whole week to Formentera. First time we don't spend 10 days in Ibiza. But I really fancy relaxing 7 days in a row in the beautiful Formentera. But that 3 days in Ibiza are going to be great.
We would have a car so no problem getting stuck
