Hostal La Torre - San An - anyone STAYED here?

Hello!!!

1st post of 2004 and I've got a question.

I went to Hostal La Torre last year for a few sunsets and found the place to be totally beautiful!

I was thinking of staying there for a few nights this year adn wondered if anyone has been there recently.

On their web site they mention a 'twin room' - is this like a British twin room with two single beds, or would I have to stay in a 'Junior Suite x 2' if there were two of us?

Any help would be appreciated!!
 
Friends of mine stayed there last year and they said the following about it.
They thought it was ok, the rooms are very basic with a decent bathroom and shower, nice breakfast, great views. They thought the rooms were very damp and they had to sleep in their coats. They were there end of September. Also said it was a bit of a trek up the hill from San An!! Overall, they said it was definitely not luxurious and probably worth what they paid for it.

The location is the best and worst thing about it i suppose. It's ok to go there and back in a taxi for a sunset, but the thought of trekking up and down for a week from San An is off-putting.
 
Get yourself a bike/scooter/hire car/taxi!!

I agree great views from resto.real peace n quiet, nice staff and cheap.
