Hi,
Me and some mates are planning to go to Ibiza this year around June 16th. We reckon mid-week is best as it means cheaper flights and this date avoids July (i.e - price of accomodation rises)

The cheapest place we found on the spotlight pages was the Hostal Florencio. Does anyone have any experience of this place, how good it is, etc. Are they efficient and repliable when it comes to booking, etc.

we use a secure booking system on this site. you should have no trouble if you use it. all the hotels on spotlight are vetted on a value for money basis and normally spotlight clients get the better rooms in the hotels.

We have booked with them this year and seems to have gone fine. Not a palace but somewhere to put ya head at least.
 
I have done quite a bit of research and from what I can tell, it all says the same... its very basic, but still clean and tidy. If you are just using it as a base for seeing ibiza and doing nothing mor than sleep there, then it will do you fine.

Bewarned, that like a lot of the cheap accomodation in ibiza, there is no a/c and it will get quite warm in there during june. Look into hiring a fan for your stay or try and bring a small one from home as hand luggage.

^^ Check out the Hotels section of this site. It's under 'San Antonio'. You can check availabilty and prices without actually booking or reserving anything. One of the best and most handy features of this site.
 
I booked it through www.alpha-beds.com

Try looking there, it lays out the costs very clearly and tells you straight away if they are full or not. You can always go back to the hotels website and book it direct after, although you wont save a huge amount, alpha-beds are fairly competitive.
 
yeah i stayed at florencio last year from 28th june till 8 july. Like you say its not a palace but all the basics are there that u need. hoping to go again this year same time. CANT WAIT!! MANUMISSION!
 
Unfortunatelly didn´t work for me to book through their site.... Had to book another one instead...

^^ Can't you book via this site, i.e - direct from the hotel's own website? I looked at Alpha-Beds and the site was playing up a bit. I would (or hopefully 'will') book through this site, i.e - direct from the Florencio website.
 
Yeah I stayed there last year, its cheap, cheerful, friendly staff but its full of beer boys and slagbags on the whole :roll: :? :P which means its pretty noisey when you do want to get a WHOLE hour's sleep ;) but it does the job!

As long as I get off at some point NOTHING will wake me!

Yes, I know. But my new hotel is just around a coner (and I mean it). I´ll pm you a map so you can see it yourself...

It's okay anna, I have the map you sent me. Its great, shows exactly where the two hotels are in relation to each other.

I have never had a problem with alpha beds so far, apart from ther fact they forgot to send me the confirmation, although a quick email fixed that. It will be cheaper to book through the hotels own website though, although the difference is minimal.
