Our Mother's Day is in May (in the US, that is). Tuesday is International Women's Day though... but it's mostly observed in Eastern Europe and the former USSR.

had a very civilised meal with my mummy yesterday. her two sisiters and their familes were at the restaurant too. very happy mummys all round.

This keeps them off our backs for a while, phew.

it appears to fall on different days in quite alot of countries.

very early here this year though. then so is easter

Jewish holiday of Passover (which is usually same time as easter) is not till end of April this year

The calendar is truly funked

i don't like the "today is mother's day, and you have to do this or that"-stuff. i choose my own days to phone my mother, buy her a present etc.

barx

Mrs Jam went away for the weekend with her sister...

...and when she returned last night I had repainted the downstairs office, repainted the stairs (glossed the banistairs 8O ) and painted the small bedroom into a nursey, complete with crib and rocking chair for night-time feeds.

Little one is due 1st week of July so Big Brownie points for yours truly
